Capital One Travel was initially only available on certain Capital One cards and, beginning today, is available for all Capital One Venture, Spark, Miles, Quicksilver, and Savor cardholders.

Savor, Quicksilver, Spark Cash, and Student cardholders will have access to Capital One Travel and now earn unlimited 5% cash back on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.Â
- Venture, VentureOne, Spark Miles, and Spark Miles Select cardholders will continue to earn unlimited 5X miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.
- Venture X cardholders will continue to earn unlimited 10X miles on hotels and rental cars and unlimited 5X miles on flights booked through Capital One Travel.
Not sure how they did it, but I got a Holiday Inn Express in Denton, TX for $139 night before the 5% cash back vs. every place else I checked (IHG, Kayak, Costco Travel, Trip Advisor, Dosh, etc.) where it was $180 – $185 AFTER the cash back. Count me as pleasantly surprised.
I guess this makes the Quicksilver marginally better, but the card needs some serious help otherwise. I remember when it was one of the first on the scene with 1.5% flat, and since then it’s pretty much been left in the dust.
For people with grandfathered Savors, it’s pretty close to a “one card to rule them all” at this point; the only major things it doesn’t (directly) hit are flights and gas.
Fyi if you do a search for a hotel, it will only show you results for the exact city you search.
I have been using Capital One Travel for about 45 days and I noticed it does not allow me to book certain flights or car rentals that are available through the direct airline and car rental company sites and even through some other travel seller sites. There was flight I wanted to book and it was not showing up on the Capital One Travel portal so the only way I could book it was through the airline itself. I also searched for a car rental in a city and Capital One Travel showed no cars from any company even though there were several available directly through the rental company’s sites and even Costco Travel. They also do not offer the booking of “Activities” or “Things To Do” at all. I give it a C+ rating.
Have used the portal twice and am pretty happy with it. Basically 10% off comparable prices with the 10x ponts.
Anyone know if flights/hotel booked through Capital One Travel will still earn airline miles, hotel points, etc.?
ymmv, i can confirm that booked AA flights from capital one travel portal earned airline miles.
I’d like to try it, but Cap One has rejected, twice, P1 through 4. Don’t know WTH with them…do they not want new subs? We go from many inquiries to two inquiries in 24 months and from 730 to 830 scores. Makes 0 sense.
