Other Chase In Branch Offers: Chase Freedom 30k, Chase Sapphire Reserve & Preferred 60k [Highly YMMV]

Yesterday we posted about an in branch offer of 30,000 points after $500 in spend on the Chase Freedom Unlimited. The offer is only available in branch and only to some selected customers. I have no idea how they decide who is targeted, I think having Chase Private Client status helps but people without it have also reported being targeted. Reader Michael also reported being offered the following:

  • Chase Freedom: 30,000 points
  • Chase Sapphire Preferred: 60,000 points
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve: 60,000 points

Keep in mind if you’re pre-approved in branch that this will by pass the 5/24 rule. Last time they had a similar offer it was 70,000 points for the Chase Sapphire Preferred so I’m actually a little surprised to see the bonus has been reduced. I don’t think making a special visit is worth it as most people won’t be eligible, but if you live near a branch or are going in for the $300 checking & $200 savings bonus it’s always a good idea to check for offers.

hey man just wanted to say as a relative newbie your site has helped me out a lot and also being unbiased unlike other sites. You deserve more credit than you get!(pun intended)😂

I don’t think the freedom offers are available anymore. I went to chase branch today and asked the banker to check for it, but she was only able to find the public 150$ offer. Has anyone got the 30k offer recently?

Wife had $300 offer for CF & CFU (spend $500) & 60k offer for CSP (spend $4000, 1st year AF waived). Found on Credit Journey site (link from Chase account page). Applied May 6. Score=744. Approved for CF w/$11,800 limit. Her only relationship with them is a 5 month old checking account that gets DD $500/month. Also, was at 0/24 (I think)

Thanks for the info. I’ll check credit journey, then.

There is now a public link for 60k points on the CSR.

UPDATE: It is a targeted offer which worked for the first time I clicked through the link or when I open up a new incognito window. YMMV

Seeking advice.
I have CSP, also got approved for CF yesterday. My wife has CSR.
I am planning to have my CSP downgraded to a No AF Card and get the CSR Add-on so that I can get all CSR benefits.
1. If I have CSR Add-on and get my CSP downgraded, Will I be able to earn UR points instead of Cashback from CF card? And will I be able to transfer them to my wife’s account (CSR)?
2. Can you suggest which card should I downgrade my CSP to? I already have Bofa Premier rewards card which gives 1.5% Cashback. Thanks.

Checked in branch. Was told that I had pre-approved CF as well as CFU, but both with $150 bonus when meeting spend requirement. I applied for CF and got approved after the banker called the Credit card department. Asked him to check for $300 offer. But he couldn’t find it. Is there a way to get this offer matched? Is it worth trying to contact Cust care after I get the card?

Was pre-approved for both freedom’s regular sign-up bonus. Manager said that need to be CPC for 30k bonus.
This was on Jan/31/18.

Another perk of the Chase Freedom card (beyond signup bonus, etc) is that you have the opportunity to earn $500 in bonuses referring others once you have the card. Please use my referral link to apply:

You’ll help me get a $100 referral bonus as well Thanks!!

Just a heads up (or inquiry) one HAS to be a Chase BANKING customer to see these special targeted offers, correct?

If I got an offer for the 60k CSP and accepted it could I then go apply online for the CSR on the same day to double dip?

I doubt you will get it due to the new Sapphire Family card rule.

I already have a Chase Freedom CC (and got a bonus a few years ago). If by some miracle I can get 30K in branch, or if a good offer comes along in the future, can I get a Freedom Unlimited card/bonus?
