[Expired] Chase Checking $5 Autosave Bonus By Saving $30

Deal has expired, view more Chase deals by clicking here

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

Chase is offering customers who have a checking and savings account the following offer:

  • Get a $5 reward when you save $30 or more in 30 days with Autosave.

Enroll in this offer by 2/11/20 and set up autosave to earn your $5 reward.

The Fine Print

  • To qualify for the bonus, you must 1) Sign up for Autosave via this offer by 2/11/2020 AND 2) Be enrolled in Autosave by setting up a rule to save a minimum of $30 within 30 days of offer sign up.
  • After you have completed the above requirements, we’ll deposit the bonus into your account within 10 business days.
  • You can only receive one Autosave bonus in a 12 month period and only one bonus per account.
  • Bonus is considered miscellaneous income, and may be reportable to you and the IRS on Form 1099-MISC (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

Our Verdict

It’s not much, but easy enough if you are a Chase banking customer. I’m unsure if this offer will work for everyone or it’s targeted to select Chase checking/savings customers; click Enroll and see if it works for you.

Tried it, seemed to accept my enrollment and provided me with tracking number. Always a good sign. Thanks for the 5 dollars!

Not working for me unfortunately. Message on chase displays
“ It looks like this part of our site isn’t working right now.”

Good thing I got the $900 bonus this year.

Does it mean if I enroll in this offer, and then setup a monthly transfer from my checking to the saving at $30, starting tomorrow, then I will receive the bonus 11 days later?

Yeah, it is,

To get started, choose “Pay & transfer” and then “Transfer money.” Then choose the accounts you want to make transfers between and turn on repeating transfers. You can choose transfers at regular intervals, such as weekly or monthly, up until a specified end date, indefinitely, or for a specified number of transfers.

That’s how I read it. However, I enrolled on 1/13, set up an autosave rule to save $31 once per month starting 1/14, and no bonus has posted so far. I guess with MLK day and weekends, there are technically still a few days left in the stated window.

I just signed up off of the offer link above. (I have both a savings and checking account but didn’t receive a direct offer. But when I clicked the link, it did bring me to a page to enroll in this offer.)

At first, I did it the way you describe. Then, I went into the Savings account and noticed there is actually something called “Autosave” (which is different, apparently, than the transfer functionality). I signed up to have $30 “autosaved” this month. I hope this helps!

Kim Kim, thank you for posting because I didn’t know there was a special place specifically called “Autosave.” Thanks for your help!

I’m pretty sure that is not how to do it. In the app, you have to setup a rule under their autosave feature. The link was in the middle of the app page, not under their menu.

Biz account: “(!) You told us an invalid coupon code.” Personal account: “You’ve redeemed your offer”. I did not receive targeted materials for either accounts.

Worked for me. Also waiting for opening bonus to post. Did not receive email offer. Thanks!

Thank you. I signed up. The weird thing is that I went in to Chase to close my Sav yesterday but they were too busy, so I left. Thank goodness. I didn’t see the use for the Savings, but now I see I can keep it fee free with this method.

Just an FYI the autosave rule will stop once your checking account reaches below a certain threshhold (mine was set to $250) make sure you edit it or turn it off

I ran into this same problem just now. The minimum for that allowed is $50 so everyone make sure to have your balance at least $51 when you start this process.

Worked for me, I had autosave already on at $26 prior to keep account free, so applied coupon and changed the rule t0 $30. I’ll report back once it hits the account.

Why are you doing $26 instead of $25?

Signed up for bonus. Went into Savings and signed up for an amount for a daily autosave until canceled that will get me to $30 in less than 30 days. Did this two days ago, and so far, no money has moved from Checking to Savings. I have plenty of balance, so wondering if I missed a step?
