Chase Offers/BofA: Get $10 Back On Walmart+ Subscription (Stack with $55 Swagbucks)

The Offer

Check your Chase Offers for the following deal:

  • Get $10 back on a Walmart+ monthly or annual membership.
  • Others are reporting seeing a $5 offer on Bank Amerideals.

The Fine Print

  • Offer expires 11/28/2020.
  • Must make first payment by 12/28/2020.
  • Payment must be made directly with the merchant.
  • Offer not valid on third-party delivery services.
  • Offer valid one time only.

Our Verdict

Stack with Swagbucks for $50 back on the annual membership or $10 back on the monthly membership; just go through Swagbucks, and pay with your registered Chase card. Basically, the monthly $12.95 membership will end up being a ~$7 profit after getting $20 back ($10 + $10), and the annual membership will be just $38 after getting $60 back ($50 + $10).

You can also get $5 back from Swagbucks after your first $35+ purchase when you sign up for the annual or monthly membership via Swagbucks. Might stack with 2% Dosh cashback at Walmart.com too.

Let us know if you see this on Bank Amerideals or any of the other bank platforms as well.

I am a little confused by the conflicting dates..

Offer expires 11/28/2020.
Must make first payment by 12/28/2020.

I have a 30-day trial, which puts the payment for Walmart+ on December 8. My concern is that if the offer expires 11/28, how does it still count? Does it just need to be added by 11/28? I’ve never seen this before with the offers.

Has anyone been able to do split payment on the signup or after signing up? I have the $10 offer on like 8 chase cards and one BofA.

The term says , the card has to be charged before 12/28

I’m trying to understand the benefit of or the need for Walmart+ if you already have Instacart Express. It seems like IC Express is an infinitely better value at more or less the same price.

How is Instacart Express? Do they ever offer promo-codes on their subscriptions? Are their prices the same vs going to the store directly?

It’s a service I never thought I’d like but now I love. The prices at some places are the same – Walmart is the same as in store. They tell you though if the prices are different.

Does ICE not up charge for goods?

Some stores do, but a lot don’t. Walmart’s prices on Instacart are the same as in store.

Are you expected to tip Instacart Express deliverers?

Instacart is literally more expensive in my area. All prices are marked up significantly

I still don’t get what’s the advantage of this Walmart+ membership? (I guess except on the gas but I’m not interested in that). Same day delivery in some items but still with $35+ purchases? Can someone really elaborate why it’s worthy to pay for this?

I am on 30days free trial and see this is a total failure. I think this is only for people who rely on grocery delivery.
I try the scan and go benefits and it is useless as hell. If you pick any of the item that need to be weighed, it is useless.
One of my 4 attempts had required the employer to check my cart before checkout. The employees had no clue how to do it and It ended up took me 5 minutes waiting.
The last thing is you still have to get in line at self checkout.

Meijer started scan and go a while back and while not perfect, it’s constantly improving. One being the weighing that you can weigh and print out the tag in the produce department. And now they have a separate section of the checkout to finish. All for no membership.

They don’t even offer free shipping on walmart.com (removing the minimum $35 limit) which makes the W+ even worthless. At least that would have been great to go against Amazon Prime.

Nobody checks my cart. I say “no thank you” as I wizz by them.

HEB is way more advanced than WM+. You scan items before putting into cart with HEB app, heading to Scan & Go area (it’s separated from self checkout), scan kiosk paying with cc linking to HEB app then you are free to go.

BTW, many HEB stores has weigh & print label machines at produce section. You can get label there.

Most important, it’s free to join. The only thing needs to do is to download HEB app then link to your cc.

Walmart also has a free scan and go mobile app. Tends to be location specific though. Some walmarts enable it, others don’t.

$5 off on BankAmerideals. Preferred Rewards Gold.

Preferred Rewards Gold? That’s not the name of any BoA credit card. Do you mean Premium Rewards? Also, BankAmerideals shouldnt be card specific, should apply to all credit card accounts you have with them. It’s not add-per-card like Amex offers
