Chase Sapphire Reserve Now has 10,000 Points Bonus for Referring a Friend + Refer in the Comments

The Offer

Direct Link (or this link if that doesn’t work)

It’s now possible for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders to refer friends for the card.

  • Get 10,000 Ultimate Reward points when referring a friend who signs up for the card; max 5 referrals

Your friend will get the regular CSR bonus which is 50,000 UR points after $4,000 in spend.

The Fine Print

  • You will receive 10,000 bonus points for each friend you refer through this Refer-A-Friend offer (up to 5), who is approved for the card.
  • Maximum bonus points accumulation for this offer is 50,000 bonus points per calendar year across all refer-a-friend offers.
  • Your participation in this program may result in the receipt of taxable income from Chase and we may be required to send to you a Form 1099-MISC (miscellaneous income) for which you are responsible.
  • This offer is subject to change and may be cancelled at any time without notice.
  • Please allow up to 8 weeks after each new cardmember’s approval for bonus points to post to your account. Your bonus will appear on your statement as “Refer-A-Friend bonus.”
  • Submitting email addresses: You may submit up to 25 email addresses in a 24 hour period (each 24 hour period is defined as 12:00am-11:59pm CT). By referring friends you agree to allow us to send an email on your behalf inviting them to apply for the Chase Sapphire Reserve Credit Card. Your friends’ email addresses will only be used for this offer and will not be used for any other marketing solicitations or sold to third parties. If your friend already has any Chase Sapphire credit card account or your friend’s email address is in our email opt-out database, no email will be sent.
  • Due to the confidential nature of the credit approval process, we cannot disclose information on who has applied, nor will you be notified whether we approve or decline any application(s) from the individual(s) you refer.

Our Verdict

Note the standard chasereferafriend.com site does not seem to be working right now for this. You need to go to the special CSR referral page.

If you are signing up for CSR, please use a reader’s referral and let him know that you did! You’ll get the same bonus and make someone very happy.  🙂  As always, check out these Things to Know about Chase Credit Cards before applying.

Remember that Chase now limits us to having and earning the bonus on just one Sapphire product, so if you have the Preferred or basic Sapphire card you won’t be able to get the card, and if you’ve gotten a bonus on any Sapphire product within the past 24 months you won’t be able to get the bonus.

Anyone offering incentives for signing up with their referral link?

Please don’t ask that

I’m genuinely curious to know why that’s not ok. I’ve seen other users on this site doing this very thing. They offer a bonus payment to those who use their referral links for other credit cards.

Because policing these types of requests is a massive waste of my time and I don’t want to deal with it anymore
