Our Verdict

“Bonus Avios offer is valid for point transfers to British Airways Executive Club completed between 12:00AM ET on November 9, 2020 and 11:59PM ET on December 9, 2020. ”
Does this mean you will not get the bonus if the points fail to transfer completely to your BA account before the deadline? Cause you would think technically the transfer is not “complete” until the points actually end up in your Avios account. Is the transfer immediate like with Hyatt points? In that case, no worries.
I have plenty of Avios in my BA Account, but I will move over 1000 UR as a quick and easy way to extend the expiration date.

Shortly after the last Chase Avios transfer bonus was announced, they devalued the partner award chart. Wondering if that will happen again.

I see a couple of reasons to consider this transfer.
1) To top off your Avios account to a certain specified number (e.g. to cover a ticket)
2) To keep you Avios account active.
Move 15,000 over would give you 19,500 in BA and good for 36 months. I wouldn’t do too much more than that.

I got solid value out of Berlin to Marrakesh with a four day layover in London when they ran this in 2018 I think, but the thought of sitting on Avios just for fun is…horrific?
