The Citi credit card news doesn’t stop!
Citi and At&t announced today a new cobranded credit card which will give users a unique opportunity to earn a new smartphone.
Two exciting things about the card are the fact that it will allow us to get up to $650 toward the purchase of a smartphone by meeting a minimum spend threshold of $2000. Phone must be purchased from a specific, undisclosed seller (booo!).
Another fascinating thing is the fact that it will have a regular bonus earning category of 3x ThankYou points for all online retail purchases and for travel websites. The travel opportunity isn’t unheard of, but 3x for all online purchases is really amazing. (Discover has Q4 which they offer 5x up to $1500 in spend; unlimited 3x is really interesting.)
The card will also have an ongoing 10,000-point anniversary bonus for $10,000 in annual spend.
Hopefully, we’ll have a more complete review of the card later today.
UPDATE: Via Citi chat I was able to get an application link for the card.
Application Link for the Access More card
Be careful if you try doing a Google search for the card, since a different AT&T card will show up (the Access card), which is not the new AT&T Access More card and it has different benefits. (Took me a 25 minute chat with Citi until we figured out that the new card is not that one, and she was then able to find the real application link for me.)
HT: Miles Remaining
I bought the phone and met the spending requirements on May 5th and still have not received my credit. I did everything correctly, buying the phone with the unique link and spending more than $2000.
Has anyone received their credit yet??
Thanks
can i buy an apple watch?
I’m very interested in the 4x online retail up to 10k. If you combine this with portals, you could get some pretty decent numbers off websites.
But Flytertalk reports the ATT phone requires a postpaid wireless service which requires a hard pull. However if you can put the phone in someone elses name that doesn’t churn maybe…
Good point about the hard pull. We just posted something about the little I found out so far.

What is the retail no contract price of an iphone 6?
Anyone want to bug Citi for a list of “online retail website” MCCs?
From the application terms:
Retail websites are websites that sell goods directly to the consumer through an online website and include department store websites, specialty store websites, warehouse store websites and boutique websites
Already requested this.
Does AmexGiftCard count online retail?
Not sure yet
Think there’s any chance this offer will be Android only?
Don’t know much about how the phone offer will work. We’ll have to wait to hear more.
No iPhone also, another press release I saw mentions them specifically.
If I were to PC a Citi Exec into an Access More (at the end of Exec yr 1, in order to not pay the AF), would the Access More AF be due immediately?
I would think so.
I believe so, yes.
GCM purchases qualify then for 3X? If so, count me in!
I was thinking the same thing
Here’s hoping…
So, we are looking at unlimited 3x at all online shopping ? There’s no limit listed anywhere right ?
AFAIK. Or really 4x, with $10k spend, as Anup (above) pointed out.
This kind of looks like a whammy on the new discover miles card for some reason.
Hey! We still need DIM for in-store!
