Our Verdict
Online signup bonus is just $200/20,000, this branch offer is slightly higher spend and a nice extra $100/10,000.

How fast does the SUB post for custom cash ? I completed the spend and SUB has not posted yet. Card has gone through 3 statement cycles my fourth statement is coming up soon.

You should have seen some kind of indication when you met the spend requirement, and received the bonus at the close of that statement cycle. Looking back at my transactions, I crossed the threshold with a $500 grocery purchase that shows 32500 reward points earned (2500 for 5% grocery + 30k SUB).

I am seeing the 30K sub on my transaction just as you said but the TY points balance is not reflecting that.
I used funding a new account to meet the threshold which posted as purchase.
Could it be that they later on clawed back the points because of that ? Any dp of Citi denial in this type of transactions ?
Really easy! Nice in-app tracker displays progress towards bonus and notifies you immediately once you’ve met the spend requirement. Bonus is available as rewards points immediately at the end of that statement.

I called two NYC branches and they told me that the $300 bonus promotion was expired. Does any one get this offer in branch recently?
I noticed a sign offering a $250 bonus in the branch today.
Yesterday, I applied for this card using a bookmarked link to the $300 offer and got approved. Do you think they would honor the bonus now that the original offer page is gone? The application page is still active though. For now, I am just waiting for the card to arrive. 🙂

This offer is very good for a no-fee card. If anyone is interested, I can share the link. The question is if we want to keep it low and, hopefully, make the offer last longer, or just set it off (and grab their attention).

I never had an account with Citi before. The tracker showed up after 1-2 days of applying.

How does citi define the “3 months” for spending $1000? Is it 90 days from the enrolling date? Or is the last day the bill closing date of the third month? For example, if I enrolled in this offer at Nov 1st, 2021, the last day is Feb 1st, 2022? or the bill cycle closing date Feb 25th, 2022?
Yes, I know the 3 month rule, but I am confused that is it exactly 3 month which is 90 days; or count to the end of third month billing cycle, even if it is more than 90 days.
Three months from card issued, not cycle. I’ve not had a cc
where the promotion was based on cycle dates (that I recall).

Applied today via the 300$ bonus link and instant approved for 10k. They pulled Experian (~760). It’ll be my first account with Citi. Hope it’ll actually be $300 bonus by the time I can activate.
