Citi Prestige Offering Retention Bonuses Again

When Citi removed the Citi Prestige from new sign ups, they also stopped retention offers for existing cardholders. Citi has now announced major changes to the Prestige that will becoming in January 2019. Reddit user pkk101 recently called in to see if there was any retention offer on their card as the annual fee had just posted and surprisingly Citi offered a statement credit of $200 if they spent $4,000 in each of the next three months. This is only one data point, but at least it seems like Citi is no longer hard coding against giving out retention offers. For more information about retention offers, read this post.
