[Expired] CLEAR: Get $75 Uber Voucher On Signup (Free With Platinum Card)

Update 3/6/24: $75 Uber voucher offer is back for new Clear accounts; go to this link and enter promo code SAVETIME75. Reports indicate you don’t even have to complete the Clear approval before getting the Uber voucher. These deals are great for cashing out American Express Clear credits as Uber vouchers, but you’ve got to be creative on the redemption side because there’s a limit of one $75 Uber voucher per account. (ht to MEAB)

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • CLEAR is offering a bonus $75 Uber voucher when you sign up.

Cost of CLEAR is $189.

Our Verdict

Remember that you can get the CLEAR fee reimbursed if you have an American Express Platinum or Business Platinum card, and this deal lets you net $75 in Uber credit along the way. It could even make sense to do the deal with no interest in the CLEAR membership at all for the Uber bonus.

The $100 United TravelBank offer from CLEAR is expired, and the 15,000 United bonus miles offer from CLEAR is only available to MileagePlus Premier member. For someone who isn’t a Premier member, this Uber voucher offer is the best available now.

Post History:

  • Update 11/29/23: The vouchers came through today for those who did the deal a couple of weeks ago. Readers in the comments confirm this works not only for new signups, but even for renewing/upgrading your account.
  • Update 11/14/23: New promo code WBTGUBER23, valid through ??, Uber voucher valid through ?? (ht caseyrobinson2) We don’t have a direct link showing the offer.
  • Update 10/13/23: Offer is back with  promo code CLAIMUBER75. Valid through 10/20/23. Uber voucher valid through 4/24/24. (ht mcg3832 and MsTuffsy) We don’t have a direct link showing the offer.

I’ve used my voucher exclusively for uber eats and the voucher can be autodrained piecemeal at least as of late 2023. Missed this round smh

Very cool to have earned this promotion. Please be aware that the $75 Voucher MUST BE USED IN ONE TRANSACTION. I just got burned on this. I figured it worked like a gift card balance. It does not. It also used my monthly AmEx Platinum monthly $15 Uber cash first.

That not true at least for Uber Eats

So I was told that I dont qualify for the promotion as I used AmEx Platinum card and will get full fee reimbursed by AmEx. This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard – so now merchants are going to start telling you which card to use 🙂

Was told promotion not activated on account and nothing he can do. I cancelled my membership for full refund.

Tell me more? I did an Uber trip to the airport and my $15 AmEx credit go applied first and then only $25.80 of my CLEAR Voucher. It didn’t even use the voucher for the tip. It charged the tip to my AmEx Platinum. What did I do wrong?

Got the Uber $75 voucher, and was able to add to UberEats account just fine, but when trying to use it I get the payment declined message. Anyone else has similar issues?
Reluctant to call Clear about this as they might link duplicate accounts and negate the voucher $s.

old $450 af aspire might not auto reimburse CLEAR, it’s a pain in the ass to try to get CS to manually reimburse, they keep telling me to wait 8 weeks. There are DPs saying even after 8 weeks it would be hard

If we have both Uber credit (from Amex) and this Uber Voucher, will the credit be applied first and then the voucher for the same order ?

No, you can only do either or per the same order. Whatever balance you have remaining, you have to pay in credit card

In my experience for an Uber ride it did use both. I wish it had not because my Uber ride was less than $75 and in the fine print it says you have to use it in one transaction. So I ended up NOT getting the full value of my $75 and wasting my $15 monthly uber cash.

My family have received $75 Uber credit each on all 3 accounts today as well. Sep 19 is the expiration date.

That’s awesome. So you were able to get it for all authorized users? Wish I had used that strategy!
