Our Verdict
The points system is a bit annoying but the some redemptions are:
- 12,400 points = $100 cash back via ACH
- 10,800 points = $100 gift card to Amazon, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Cabela’s Best Buy, Sephora
- 3600 points = $25 cash back via ACH
- 6500 points = $50 cash back via ACH
- 9500 points = $75 cash back via ACH
- 5500 points = $50 gift card to Amazon, Home Depot, Darden Restaurants, Best Buy, etc…
- 3200 points = $25 gift card to Apple
- 2700 points = $25 gift card to Barnes & Noble
So the 35,000 point bonus is basically 3 x $100 gift cards and the 50,000 point bonus is 4 x $100 gift cards and a $50 ACH. Even though the points are annoying this is better than when it’s an all cash bonus and very much doing doing as no direct deposit is required. Will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

After getting through the hassle of getting Firstrust to change my promotion back to the one I signed up for and finally getting my points, I placed an order for EZPass and Gift of College gift cards back at the end of April. I received an email that said they’d be drop shipped at the end of May. They never showed up. I called Score Rewards yesterday, they said they’d file a ticket and the gift cards showed up in my email today.
Takeaway: If you purchased gift cards that haven’t arrived, call Score Rewards to complain and ask for them.
How have you guys closed this? I called twice and they are telling me I have to come into a branch. I figure I am going to have to mail a form. What a pain
Not yet. However, not surprised, since they were the ones that wanted the signature card mailed in (with live ink?). I imagine they will want us to fire up the fax machine to hit “GO” and send a closure request letter in like it’s 1988.
DP from Pennsylvania:
2025/03/26: “Eagles FirstPay” checking account opened.
2025/03/28: Opening deposit posts ($25).
2025/04/01: Transfer from Discover Checking to Eagles FirstPay posts ($900).
2025/04/30: Real DD posts, did so to avoid the April monthly fee ($10).
2025/05/07: Paid off credit card in five separate installments using bill pay to avoid May monthly fee ($50-$126 for each installment).
2025/05/08-2025/05/15: Spent ~$413 on the debit card. All purchases were in-person (groceries, haircut, car inspection, post office, restaurant, and Home Depot). All purchases coded as either “POS PURCHASE” or “DBT PURCHASE”.
2025/05/25 (Memorial Day): This will be 60 days after opening the account.
No rewards points yet. Interestingly, when I click the red “Redeem Points” button from within my account, it opens a new window, thinks a bit, then gets a blank screen with only the message “UserID must be specified”. But if I login directly to scorecardrewards.com, I have no issues. I did not enroll in the scorecard rewards website until 2025/05/14.
I did have a previous Firstrust account that I closed on 2024/01/25. I did not end up getting the bonus for that attempt because I did not complete the spend requirement in time.
I know the terms say “Bonus will be provided 60 days after completion of the spend requirement”, so I have a few more months to go until they should post. But I wanted to post my DP thus far since it seems that others have had their points pay out only a few days after meeting the spend threshold.
Did anyone do the business checking bonus? Is there a separate post for that?
FYI for anyone who does get account fees charged, they will refund up to 2 of them in a 12 month period, you just have to chat/message them
Are this amazon GC physical cards? I dont see an option for an e-gift card. I tried to redeem rn and $100 is 10,000 points right now making the bigger bonus a $500 Amazon GC. But they are physical cards
T
Yeah I received physical gift cards for amazon redemptions

DP: Household rule was not enforced. P1 opened the 50k bonus checking account and P2 opened the 35k bonus checking account. Both received a bonus. Same address. Last name was different. P2 also added a Suite number to the address.
The day after my P2’s second $500 money order purchase, the 10K points posted (should have been 50K). Sent SM requesting they look into it.
Same thing happened to me. I’ll also send a SM
Might be worth calling. See below after calling in, I had the points in my account within 20 minutes.
CSR responded at 4:30 PM Friday: “We will send this to score cards to review – thank you!”
I checked today and the 50K points are there now. Might have been there last night.
Also, DP: a $1 USAA insurance payment made online via the Firstrust debit card DID NOT earn points, so would not count toward the SUB.
I called around 545pm Eastern on Friday. The rep said she’d send a note to the backoffice to look at it and it should be fixed by Monday (today). It hasn’t been fixed yet so I sent a SM this evening along with a PDF of the email stating the correct promotion. Hopefully they knock it out for me like they did for you guys!
The additional ScoreRewards points are in my account this afternoon. Good stuff.
It’s weird what they consider as qualifying and what not. I had all POS and DBT transactions worth $530 but only $489 have been considered as qualifying (got to know from CSR when I sent a secure msg to them).
If it earned zero points, it’s not a qualifying debit. You can check the transaction log.

Grocery = Good
Insurance payment online using debit card = Bad
Nice. I will check this out. I didn’t make any online or insurance payments.
All with physical cards at grocery shops, costco, etc.
So you never followed up and said what you had that didn’t count. I would guess some online charges or fees that you paid? Tolls?
SP
No I did follow up with their CSR and strangely one transaction which was POS at a grocery store didn’t count where as a previous transaction at the same grocery store a couple of days prior did count . So it’s weird but somehow some transactions get dropped from their tracker. I did get my bonus at $500 debit usage though.
Okay. That’s weird, but I have had situations like that with NFCU, questioning if it counted. They had to manually adjust once I raised the question, so I feel your pain. (Wasn’t bank account funding or anything sketchy and an actual purchase)
2 purchases totaling over $350 on 4/22, have the 35k points today 4/24
