Some note that the next gen is coming out in 10 days. Still seems like a great deal, especially if you have an Amex Dell credit to use up.

Remember Discover is 5% back on PayPal this quarter. The 10% Amex offer is better if you have it.
i just ordered a yellow one, since “without special offers” has a slight value to me. I have a 10″ “with special offers” and its really not a big deal. I use the 8″ one for reading books, this way I have a backup if/when my current one dies. Current retail is $79/$95 on the amazon web site, I realize you can get them cheaper on sales and such, but hard to beat this for a backup “just in case”.

Not true. I didn’t trust that block and clicked add to cart and it worked. Was able to get a yellow one and got the order confirmation email in 2 min.

Heads up: The blue version comes with “special offers”, aka ads on the lock screen. The red and yellow versions are ad-free.
