Our Verdict
As always using the fact that Delta has these sales is ridiculous considering they now refuse to publish an award chart. Still these are priced cheaper than they usually are so might be suitable for some readers.
The lowest I can see from ATL to PDX is 26k.
I see 13k+$11 tax round trip SFO-SEA.
In the meanwhile, the same seats are selling for $146 (yielding ~730 miles)
($146-$11)/(13000-730) = 1.1 c/mile. Meh.
What a joke. Cheapest price I’m seeing is 23k miles from PHL. There’s a time and a place skymiles are a deal, but this sure isn’t it.
23k is the lowest from MSP to PDX.. bummer
16k from PHX direct, not terrible I guess
20k lowest from DFW…
The lowest I see from JFK to PDX is 17k.
Great rates from SLC, where the usual award is 16,000 miles. In addition, there are 5-8 nonstop options each day depending on the day of the week so you should be able to find something to fit your schedule. I made this trip last year with family. Stayed at Hyatt Olive 8 downtown. Very fun place with lots of good food and beautiful scenery. Would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been there before.

Typical Delta — why not just tell us the lowest price from different markets. From DTW (a Delta hub, where you might expect to see 12K), the lowest is 20K, and only for very limited dates. From WAS, it’s 24K, again with very limited dates. The 12K is probably only for much shorter flights.
