Our Verdict

This is the biggest sign up bonus Topcashback has ever offered as far as I’m aware, previous best has been $20 exclusively for our readers. We don’t receive anything if you sign up for this offer, instead we’ve passed the full $25 to our readers. We always try to do these types of deals with companies, but very few show any interest. One of the reasons I love Topcashback is they have the same mindset as we do, they give users 100% of a store’s commission back as cash back. They make money through separate advertising banners  ‘our list stores’ among other ways. I find that Topcashback rates are consistently better than other shopping portals and it’s the portal I use the most often.

In addition when you cash out you can also get bonuses if you cash out for something other than cash:

  • Amazon Gift Card (3% bonus)
  • American Express® Reward Card (3% bonus)
  • Gap eGiftCard (5% bonus)
  • Nike eGiftcard (5%)
  • Hotels.com eGiftcard (5%)
  • Petco eGiftcard (5%)

If you want to see more brands & websites offer our readers increased bonuses like this then there are two things you can do:

  • Sign up if you don’t have have an account
  • Share this with others

I took advantage of this offer but wanted to share my displeasure with TopCashback. I am not sure if the fault lies with them or the merchant but it’s sure been frustrating.

I used the TopCashback portal to make a very large purchase when there was cashback of 15%. Weeks later, TopCashback denies the claim because they mention they never received verification from the merchant. Even after submitting my order confirmations and them having the history of the click through on their site, they still won’t credit my account. When speaking with the merchant customer service, they tell me they have no relationship with TopCashback even though, to this day, they are still listed on TopCashback’s website.

Loooking at the increase in browser cookie count going from TCB to Giftcardmall, TCB is going through 1-3 or more layer(s) of affiliate marketing redirects before getting to every merchant. So the merchant probably has no idea who TCB is because they are only dealing with an intermediatary like linkexchange. So if TCB denies the claim, it’s pretty much SOL.

Is this bonus still working?

if i click on the link it says $25 valid from 1/25 – 1/29. Doesnt say expired or anything. so i am confused.

if it is expired, could you mark it as such?

The $25 now appears in my transactions and shows pending. I had already made a purchase and was not one with the $6 showing. Just as Will said, it has been fixed today. Thanks DoC!

if you didn’t make any purchase, best way is to make new account. But I already made purchase through TCB and have $50 pending cashback so I’m bummed out. Either the customer service reps are still misinformed about this, or they just not willing to give $25 for ppl who joined through broken referral link

Since I continued to see the $6 pending this morning, I took ron’s advice above and closed my account (Go to Account > My Profile > Unsubscribe from account button located at bottom of page). I then re-visited the referral link (with any Adblockers disabled), signed up with a new email, and saw the $25 pending immediately. Thanks to ron for the tip and to the doc for the offer!

I submitted ticket yesterday and this is what they answered today.

Thanks for getting in touch.

I’ve taken a look into this for you and unfortunately, I can’t see any referral activity from Doctor of Credit on your account. If the correct link isn’t used or if you do not signed up straight away from their link then this can cause a referral to not be recorded.

Unfortunately, if the link hasn’t been used correctly then we are unable to see who has referred who and this makes it hard for us to award the $25 bonus to the your account.

I am sorry this is the case but I hope you are more successful in the future.

Many thanks,
Carolyn

It sounds like they don’t want to fix the issue. If they cannot find any referral activity on my account, how they are gonna give me $25 bonus. I hope they correct the issue, but looks like I might not get $25 bonus
