Easy 1,750 United Miles for New MyPoints Users & More

Reposting as this is still available, there is a similar offer but that requires a $50 purchase. Others recently received an offer but for only 1,500 miles total.

The Offer

The Fine Print

  • Please allow 6-8 weeks after completed qualifying activity for miles to post to your account
  • Eligible purchases include any shopping or travel purchases (excluding, MyPoints games, Swappable gift cards and the MyPoints Store gift cards) of at least $25 each (excluding taxes, shipping & handling and special processing fees) made through the website
  • This offer is eligible for new members only
  • Purchases must be made within the first 30 days of membership to receive the bonus reward

Our Verdict

This offer has been around a few times before, sometimes it’s 1500 miles and sometimes it’s 1750. If you never signed up for MyPoints before, it’s an easy way to net those free points. When I did this deal a while back, I got an instant email confirming the bonus points offer.

So gc’s are ok so long as they aren’t from a specifically excluded source in the fine print?

The terms seem to indicate that would be OK at that link. But, when you get the signup email telling you about the extra 1000 points it has different terms for the award including this line:

“Purchases of Gift Cards, Phone Cards and Memberships are not eligible for this offer. The use of discount codes or coupons not found on MyPoints are not eligible for this offer. Other restrictions may apply.”

So who knows.

Erewards is a site that gives you points for answering surveys about products etc.
After you have gained enough points you can convert them into airline miles or hotel points etc etc.

Approximately how much is this worth?

The United miles? Depends on how much you value them and whether you fly out of UA/*A hubs often. For me, I value them around 1.5cpp, so 1,750 United miles = $26.25.

any data points on if an offer can be completed on both swagbucks and mypoints? get the bonus on both websites for gillette for instance?

eRewards is a survey site that gives you $$ (their currency) that you can then spend on points for Hertz, Hilton, Southwest, etc. I tend to do 1100 Hertz Points each quarter (limited to redeeming Hertz each calendar quarter) and it’s a nice way to earn 4400pts a year.

approx how much time are you spending on surveys to earn those 4400 points?

4400 Hertz can easily be worth up to $600 if used on weekly rentals. Hertz is the only partner that makes sense with eRewards.

Any easy way to get the extra 1000? Basically only shop on….

I’m pretty sure the Prosper app is shutdown now, so that bonus isn’t possible as far as I can tell.

Yah I forgot to update that section, fixed now

Mypoints? Are we in some weird time dilution where 2002 has returned?

My United miles were expiring in couple of months. Goo easy way to extend validity of my miles.

Note that the T&C state to “allow 6-8 weeks after completed qualifying activity for miles to post to your account”. Better check when your miles are expiring to make sure you have enough time.

Hopefully they get posted sooner. I did the 750 point signup and made a $25+ order on Groupon so hopefully I can see if they each post sooner.

Follow up post – the initial 750 point signup has already posted to my United account.

My additional 1,000 miles posted.

Thanks Chuck!

My 1000 United Miles is not posting, and MYpoints is refusing to deposit them, saying I need to contact United directly. When doing a little research for my BBB complaint, I revealed a familiar foe – Proedge LLC. What an absolute scam of a company. If there is a hell, these people are surely going straight there. No better than Indian IRS scammers.
