The Offer

  • Ebates has two offers:
    • $10 off an Uber gift card of $50+ or more via Raise when you use promo code EBATESRIDE [new raise users only]
    • Double cash back in store (doubled rates are already displayed) [via Miles to Memories]

  • In store cash back valid until Monday 4/30 at 11:59PM PT

Our Verdict

If you don’t already have an Ebates account then you can use our referral link here. You’ll get $10 after spending $50+ (so Uber deal will trigger it) and we get $25, Ebates people if you’re reading this how about a deal where our readers get $35 instead?

Spent my whopping big $27; just enough to trigger the referral I sent my hubs so I would get $25 and he would get $10. This included two $5 off and one 20% BBB coupon. Not a biggie, but I did use my debit Visa card I bought at grocery store with my CF for 5x, which also yielded me 4x in gas credits. Not bad.

Now if the ebate comes thru – it hasn’t yet, 14 hours.

The respective websites say the gift cards can be used in either app, yes. Haven’t actually tried it though.

Promo is new customers only, pretty much waste of time for most readers…

ebates in store cashback – does it pay out on GCs?

Is this a guaranteed profit if I am looking at this correctly?

Buy $50 worth of gift cards for $38.50.

Sell $50 of uber cards on Raise. Average discount is currently 3%, and Raise takes 12% for selling it, so you would sell it for $42.68. Profit of a few bucks, before factoring in cashback from a credit card.

Not sure if it’s worth the shutdown risk on both sites, but something to think about if you need help hitting minimum spend.

Had player 2 sign up for Raise, and got the $10 off. They already had a 3% off deal on Uber cards so I got $11.50 off. eBates only showed 1% however.

Did player 2 use the same address? They blocked it for us and faq says one account per household…
