There are a few new gift card deals up on eBay, not enough to warrant a post, but being that many of us have 6% Bucks now and most of these deals have very limited quantities, I figured I’d put this out.
Here’s a link to the gift card deals
- $100 Sunoco for $92 from Cardcash, limit 5 (this one is a bit odd because it sounds like it’s not a pre-owned card – not entirely clear; personally, I’d steer clear of this for resale purposes but I’d buy for personal use; this deal started with 1,200 cards)
- $100 Cabela’s for $85 from SVM, limit 3 (not many available)
- $50 Cabela’s for $42.50 from SVM, limit 5 (not many available)
- $100 The Children’s Place for $85 from SVM, limit 5
- $50 CVS gift card for $46 from SVM
- $50 Boston Market for $42.50
Some older deals:
- $25 Fandango e-gift card for $21.25 from PPDG
- $60 Outback e-gift card for $50 from PPDG
- $60 Darden e-gift card for $50
- $30 Petco e-gift card for $25
- $100 Jiffy Lube for $80
- $50 Jiffy Lube for $40
Once again, with the 6% Bucks deal these can be great deals. Most of the new deals started with very limited quantities and will likely sell out.
Remember to go through a shopping portal. If you plan on spending $250, go through the United portal for the 1,000 mile bonus if you haven’t used that up already. [Update: the United terms technically exclude gift cards.]
1,000 United miles bonus excludes gift card purchases according to United Shopping T&C. That should’ve been clarified in your post.
Ah, didn’t remember that. Thanks, let me update.
I’m pretty sure third-party gift cards will work, but will be hard to fight for if something doesn’t track automatically.
I would go a step further and say forget dealing with CardCash all together unless you enjoy being involved with fraud and losing your money. CardCash is not a customer centric company, you’ve been warned.
I am attempting to communicate with ABC right now. I recently received a check that was smaller than the agreed to payment, so I started looking more closely. They retroactively subtracted $84 x 3 from a previous order containing Sears giftcards. I had already been paid in full for those cards so my best guess is that they are arbitrarily deducting from subsequent payments? I called Sears Corporate Gift Cards customer service at 1-800-549-8151 (found at http://www.searscorporategiftcards.com/info/faq) and learned that all three of my Sears gift cards were used at the same Arvada, Colorado store on May 27th, 2016. One partial then second transaction to drain the first $100 card and then full $100 transactions for the other two cards. These cards were sold on May 23rd. I still have the cards in my possession and haven’t been to Colorado in over 15 years. It would be noce if ABC would continue to communicate with me after I did the legwork for them. I have never had an issue with them until now. With my top secret Saveya ban and now this bullshit, this sport is getting to be more trouble than it is worth.
That sucks. Hope it works out in your favor. Let us know how it gets resolved.
Seems like a lot of fraud going on with CardCash. Every SD thread about them gets horror stories about buying from them. I wonder if it is some bad employees, or if they don’t have good algorithms for identifying shady customers.
Knock on wood I’ve never had issues selling to them, but it has mostly been physical cards. Codes are more risky and I might think twice about selling codes to them in the future.
Since Sunoco (like all the gas cards) can only be used as a physical card, seems like the chance of it being drained is fairly low. But still not a great gc for resale, because ABC is the primary buyer of gas gcs and I doubt they would buy the same card back lol
You’re right — Under the Sunoco details:

Definitely NOT something people should be buying to resell! I don’t want to later read people bought cards and tried to resell them only to find out the exchanges won’t accept them (because they’re not new) or worse yet they’re drained of funds. I’ll sell to cardcash but would never (ever) buy anything from one exchange to sell to another. That’s basically what you’d be doing here.
