- Car rental company enterprise is running ‘plus your points promotion’ from Oct 6 to Jan 31. If you received the e-mail to preregister you can get 20 free points as well.
Our Verdict
You need 400 points for a free rental, so 20 free points isn’t exactly exciting.

I did several tasks about watching the videos/websites.
It shows that I earn the bonus points.
But after I login in my account, I can not see these bonus points.
Why?
Wait a day or two. I did these on 26-Dec and they posted on 28-Dec. Easy 350+ points, which is nice for five minutes of clicks.
I see very different tasks. Most of them require renting to earn some bonus points, like rent a SUV or Mini Van for 100, book 8 days in advance for 100, complete a rental at a airport for 75…
I haven’t seen any announcements from Enterprise, on pausing points expiration during covid, but my points are 3 months past and haven’t expired yet.
I don’t see the email opt in. I hope it isn’t because I am already opted in (possibly from a previous “plus your points” promo)
Are you able to get the points for making a reservation in advance? It only says that you have to reserve 8 days before the pick up the, it never says you have to complete the rental.
Yes. I always get a lot of points from these Enterprise promotions, but where I live, after the pandemic, you need over 1000 points for a rental too.
Why would you rent a car where you live?
I often rent before longer roadtrips where it’s nice to have something more fuel efficient. Sometimes, it can be helpful to have a larger vehicle to move visiting family around or to rent one while allowing them to drive yours during a visit. Some people rent while their car is in the shop too.

Thanks Doc, found in my inbox sub-folder. You can usually get about 50 – 100 Enterprise points without any rentals when they do these promos. Lilurbanachiever is right, points are tied to current rates. In Denver in the best of times for rates I rented a car for a day w/ 350 or 400 points.
Preregistration email subject is: [name], it’s time to preregister for Plus Your Points
In SoCal you need like 800 pts for a free rental, the point value seems to be tied to the rates and the rates are pretty high right now.
