Our Verdict
Bit annoying you need to keep the account open for a full year to avoid any early account termination fee. I’d do our recommend bank bonuses first. This would be an OK deal if it’s a soft pull and the direct deposit requirements are easy to meet, if not I’d give this one a miss.

Sometimes a hard pull is worth $150 right? Some credit card bonuses are $150. I’d definitely consider this, but I’d want to know how difficult it is to open online. I’ve already been rejected for 3 bank accounts in a wrong due to number of chex inquiries from the last year. :/ I’ll wait for some more feedback on inquiries and getting approved.. I don’t want to make it four rejections in a row.
Credit card bonuses aren’t taxed and a $150 bonus is still iffy.
Sorry thats BS!! The bonus is still considered income if you really want to be a law abiding citizen.
No, credit card bonuses are considered a rebate and aren’t taxable.
that’s true.. and all of the bank bonuses are taxable.. some people falsely believe that if you don’t get a form then it’s not taxable.. but it’s always taxable.
Bonus is now $150
Yes. This bank will make a hard pull when open a checking account.
Thanks, updated post.
This is my first bank account and CC I ever had. Really great customer service. They don’t like lots of MO deposits, so don’t do that..
Was it a hard pull to open?
Sorry, at the age of 6, I wasn’t concerned with HPs. 🙂
Haha, thanks anyway.
