JetBlue offer a lot of sale fares on a regular basis and apparently the best way to keep up to date with these fares is to following their @JetBlueCheeps account. They announced a flash fare sale earlier and there are some great deals to be had. The downside to these flash fares is that they are for a specific date and flight. For example one of the best deals is as follows:
- Boston, MA (BOS) > San Juan, PR (SJU): $50. You can only travel on August 27th though on flight 961 departing at 9:30PM. Alternatively you could pay 1,700 points and $5.60 in taxes
I did a quick search for the same flight in September and it was in the $120-$170 range so this is a nice discount (the same flight on JetBlue for the same date is $199 at the next cheapest rate). Remember these flights can be booked with JetBlue points as well (points are worth a minimum of 0.97¢ and a maximum of 1.89¢). You can view the current flash sale fares here.
Another good deal would be JFK > LIR on September 4th. Flight costs $50, or if you pay with points it’s only 300 points and $23.25 in taxes and fees.
