[EXPIRED] Free $10 for Signing Up with Topcashback

The Offer

TopCashBack is an online shopping portal. They always have a referral program which benefits the REFERRER. Occasionally they sweeten the pot and give a signup bonus for the REFEREE too.

I just signed into my Topcashback account and noticed that they put this offer back up which will give a $10 bonus to each – the referrer and referee.

Your current Tell-a-Friend bonus is $10 for the referrer and $10 for the referred member.

I’m sure if you look in your own topcashback account, you’ll see the same thing. If you don’t have a topcashback account, you can use my referral link: http://www.topcashback.com/ref/chucksithe and get a $10 bonus for joining. Feel free to add your own link (once) in the comments below.

This could be great if you have family and friends to refer. From what I’ve read, each member of a household can have a separate Topcashback account, so you can refer your spouse, for example, and you’ll get $20 for the two of you.

CAVEAT: There is a requirement to have $10 Payable from regular portal cashback in order to get the $10 bonus. Until the referee gets $10 from regular portal cashback in the account as Payable, neither referrer nor referee will receive the $10 bonus.

Suggestion: We’ve written about a free money opportunity with Audible. You can see all the details here. If you haven’t done the Audible deal yet, then you can sign up with topcashback now and profit $16 from the Audible deal, plus the $10 signup bonus, for a total of $26. Sweet deal!

The Fine Print

  • TopCashBack informed me that this bonus should be around until at least 2/15/15.
  • Must click on unique Tell-a-Friend link and sign up to the site on that click-through.
  • For the Tell-a-Friend bonus to be applied, referee must authenticate their TopCashback account and reach a minimum cashback threshold of $10 cashback.
  • Both bonuses will become Payable when referee has a minimum of $10 cashback at Payable status.

Our Verdict

If you were considering opening a topcashback account, now could be a good time to do so. If you have family and friends to signup – go sign ’em up! Bear in mind, that since this requires the $10 of regular portal cashback before the bonus becomes available, it will be more practical to refer people who shop a lot online.

I’ve never had any issues with topcashback, but some people have reported problems with tracking. No matter what shopping portal you use, you should follow these steps to make sure that the portal tracks correctly. If you’d like more information you should read our full review of topcashback which can be found here.

I am having the exact same problem. I created an account and completed a few of their free offers. The next day, I can no longer log in. I have sent several emails over 3 weeks, and the only reply I get is from “Sally” who says she cannot help me and she has forwarded my concern to someone else. No response.

I am not happy with TCB. I could not log into my account anymore after I use some “Free Cash Back” deals in the tab. I sent them multiple emails asking for help and received no response.

I began to use topcashback since I read here that I can earn cash back twice when shopping at eBay. Unfortunately, they seem to have noticed the loophole and have stopped offering cash back for eBay. What a let down!
I then turned to BeFrugal to run the same procedure, but somehow I was not able to buy eBay gift card with my Ink (while my other card works). Any one noticed the same issue? Does this indicate flagging from Chase?

After severl more trials, it looks like it is more of an eBay thing than a Chase one. I might’ve been wrong when I said only the Ink card didn’t work while my other card did. This month I have already bought $900 eBay e-gift cards from Paypal Digital Gifts. I tried to buy $300 more but the transaction with Ink didn’t go through. Nor with any other credit card. Today when I tried $100, I WAS able to pay it with Ink. However, I couldn’t buy any amount more, not even $15. Is there a $1k cap for eBay e-gift card purchases from Paypal Digital Gifts?
