Free $20 for New Topcashback Members [3/19/15 only]

The Offer

Direct Link

  • New Topcashback members can get $20 deposited in their Topcashback account for making a purchase of any gift card on Raise.com. Minimum $1 purchase.

This is essentially similar to a signup bonus for a Topcashback account. In the past, there were offers of a $10 bonus for signing up for a Topcashback account. That offer is no longer available, but this offer is better since it’s $20 and since there’s no other threshold needed to get the $20 payout.

The downside of this offer is that you do need to make a purchase on Raise.com in order to get the $20 bonus. If you have no use for a gift card from Raise, you wouldn’t really gain much, but Raise sells gift cards to many, many retailers and you should be able to find one that interests you. (Otherwise, you could buy one and resell it.)

In short, if you don’t have a  Topcashback account yet, you can open one now and get this $20 bonus.

Topcashback goes out of their way to say that each individual can have their own Topcashback account, even multiple people in the same household can each have an individual account, including husband and wife.

Even if you are already a Topcashback member, you can still get this $20 bonus if you never made a purchase on Topcashback before.

The Fine Print

  • Offer only available today 3/19/15, until 11:59 PM Pacific Time or until stock runs out. (I believe that means that if the entire stock of Raise gift cards runs out then you won’t be able to get this bonus. But I can assure you that this won’t actually happen.)
  • This isn’t stated specifically in the fine print of this particular offer, but I strongly recommend not using a Raise promo code on this purchase, since it will usually negate the portal cashback and will cause the $20 not to post automatically. (As much as I’d love to throw out my Raise referral link for new Raise signups, that referral link requires you to enter a promo code, so I won’t be throwing it out here. But I’d love if you use my Topcashback referral link when you sign up for a new Topcashback account. I’ll earn $10 if you signup with my link. The terms say specifically that you can still earn the $20 bonus when using a Topcashback referral link.)
  • Gift card needs to be $1 or more. In practice, there aren’t many (or any) $1 gift cards on Raise, so you’ll have to find a gift card that you’re actually interested in using to make use of this offer.
  • Each member of household can have their own Topcashback account. Each person can only have 1 Topcashback account. (My Advice: Don’t try skirting this. Many people have gotten shut down.)
  • Only one $20 bonus per new account.
  • Must click-through Topcashback to Raise before making purchase (obviously).
  • Cashback may not post initially as $20, but it will correct itself after a few days.
  • This offer is available for existing Raise customers or new Raise customers.

Our Verdict

This is really an awesome offer, and it’s the best I’ve seen for new Topcashback members. You’ll probably end up buying a gift card that costs $20 or more and it will end up essentially free.

Note that Raise portal tracking is not the best, but I’ve had success with them by just doing one transaction per day. Since for this offer you just need one transaction, I’m optimistic it will post automatically. That being said, I recommend being careful that there’s nothing blocking the portal-tracking from working properly (i.e. go incognito).

Even if it doesn’t post automatically, I’ve had success by filing a missing-cashback claim on Raise  transactions, but it’s a very slow process.

Here’s how to go about taking advantage of this offer:

  1. Go to topcashback.com and open an account.
  2. Find the merchant Raise on the topcashback site, and click through to Raise from the link on the Topcashback site.
  3. Purchase a gift card which costs $1 or more on the Raise website.
  4. Wait for the $20 to post in your Topcashback account.
  5. Wait a few weeks/months for the cashback to become available, and then withdraw the money to your bank account or Paypal account.

Hey Chuck,

I’ve always been on the fence about signing up for TopCashBack. Not sure why since I could save so much money. With this offer, I decided to pull the gun and sign up. I used your referral link and just bought something. Thanks so much for all that you do… Love your articles and always glad to support you whenever I can.

Thanks.
