Beginning Thursday, Sept. 21, through the end of the year, Budweiser is providing up to 10,000 round-trip rides every weekend across nine states: New York, Colorado, Illinois, Florida, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Texas, Georgia; plus Washington, D.C.
Budweiser will share a unique ride code on its Facebook and Instagram channels each Thursday at 2 p.m. ET, which new and existing Lyft users over the age of 21 can use to claim a $20 ride credit (two $10 one-way rides) through the Lyft app. The credits can be redeemed for rides taken between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time that Thursday, Friday or Saturday night.
The Fine Print
- This code valid for up to $10 off two rides taken within CO and PA between the hours of 5 PM and 5 AM local time from 12/28/17 – 1/1/18.
- Limited time only and while supplies last
- Discount does not apply to tips and any tips are the responsibility of the Lyft user
- Must be 21
- Pickup OR drop-off must be within coverage area
Our Verdict
Lyft didn’t actually post this code yet, a reader worked the code out last week but we’ve held it back slightly to try and avoid it being clawed back. This should give our readers a head start as these typically run out very quickly and I guess demand for this one will be more than normal with it covering the NYE period.

You can usually add the codes anywhere but they will only apply to rides in certain areas.

All this time, I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t see the Lyft codes on Budweiser’s page. Turns out if you have adblock on, you can’t see those posts. On incognito, all of them show up.
SAFERNEWYEAR didn’t work (it says used up) but I went on the Budweiser Facebook page and saw they had just posted BUDNEWYEARS and that worked. Coverage area is CO and PA.
