Ya’ll is some preachy people. One donut a day (and 2 for a week) isn’t going to kill anyone. They are only 190 calories. A 20oz bottle of Coke is 240. If people do something good for society by getting vaccinated then let them enjoy this bit of happiness.

It’s really about the sugar and crap ingredients in doughnuts that causes obesity for many people; obesity is a top comorbidity for covid severity. Coke is comparable. Bad habits can lead to bad outcomes.

Most already know, trap for humanity. Take heed: organic food, exercise, sunlight.

I’ve never even been to a Krispy Kreme, but I would just like to leave a comment here virtue signaling how unhealthy I think donuts are, as well as how obesity and diabetes are terrible epidemics in their own right.

I have no idea why. Everyone virtue signals on DOC when Krispy Kreme or McDonald’s is mentioned. However, I’ll give you an upvote for having the guts to admit it.

Lol at this point, I feel getting Covid is better than shoving a daily donut (or double this week), the guilt I feel afterwards and starve myself for the entire morning…

Can’t help it lol

What’s with Americans and associating doughnuts in particular to obesity? Was there an American TV show or something that did that? Had this been a promotion by Heineken, Starbucks, In-n-Out, or Ben & Jerry or for free gluten-free cookies or CBD-infused cupcakes, I doubt there’d be this much visceral outrage. I have nothing against a little fat shaming but making a villain out of doughnuts is not that. Want to think of yourself as actually courageous? Instead of jumping on the anti-doughnut bandwagon, stand up against overeating anything. Acai bowls, poke with spicy mayo dressing, “authentic” tacos, constantly snacking on almonds… If you can’t do that, you aren’t actually upset about obesity. You’re engaged in some weird American culture war over doughnuts.
