Deal has expired, view more Freebird deals by clicking here

The Offer

  • Freebird is offering double points (500 instead of 250) on all Lyft/Uber rides taken before March 31st, 2019

The Fine Print

  • Valid until March 31st, 2019
  • If a location shows 250 points when you tap on the destination it will show 500

Our Verdict

Worth signing up to Freebird for all the promo codes they have been offering existing users lately. This is just an added bonus.

I compared the price though Freebird by uber and just use uber app found that the Freebird is always expensive than Uber, sometimes even more than $10. I live in SF bay area, anyone has the same experience?

I have some Uber trips I’ve been taking for a couple years and the price has been the same as always with Freebird.

I didn’t check Lyft. But the price on Uber is the same as on Freebird when I request at the same time(almost). I check price on both apps before requesting rides. (experience in Manhattan)

East Bay here. Prices are the same. Only negative with Freebird is it doesn’t offer Express Pool and the app is agonizingly slow. Doesn’t seem to accurately pinpoint location as well but absolutely worth it considering the generous cash-back. Don Julio alone has probably paid me $50 in the last few months just to get home.

Interesting that others aren’t seeing this, but I agree with you. I’m seeing about 25-50% more on Freebird vs. Lyft direct right now. I’m in Denver FWIW, which probably like San Fran, are highly competitive markets for Lyft and Uber.

They also have this promotion that one lucky user that takes the 100,000th ride in March will get a 100,000 points.

Not sure how they make money but I’ve gotten paid out 75$ for about 45$ worth of actual rides and it’s awesomly legit
