Fund your Existing WeBull Account and Get a Free Stock worth up to $1,000 [Targeted]

Update 12/18/18: Another round of people targeted for this funding bonus. Valid until December 31st, 2018 this time. Hat tip to readers Ryan L & Jane X

A lot of us opened an account with the WeBull investing app to get a free stock and try out the app. Many people didn’t even fund their account, just signed up and pocketed the free stock.

WeBull wants to change that. They sent out an email to some/all people who haven’t yet funded their account with the following offer:

  • Fund your WeBull account with any amount, no minimum, and get a free stock worth between $3 – $1,000. Offer ends on November 30.

Honestly, I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle of signing up just for the sake of the free stock since you’ll probably get just $4 or maybe $9 from it, but if you already have an account, it could make sense to add some funds and pocket another free stock. Maybe you’ll get lucky and get Google!

Please don’t leave WeBull referrals in the comments here. You can get a referral from this referral thread.

Side note: reader Ryan notes that WeBull changed their referral program so that you only get a free stock when you refer 3 new members. The new member still gets a free stock for signing up, but the referrer needs 3 signups until they get a free stock.

Started using WeBull when the first promo came about instead of Robinhood and can say that I’ve had a very positive experience.

Only small issue is that I haven’t figured out how to add this account into Mint (probably because it’s not supported yet).

Since it has no desktop login it can’t be supported with Mint.

what is mint? is it similar to personal capital? if yes, is there a bonus?

My email/in-app offer is with a deposit minimum of $100 by December 31.

mine too. I orginally downloaded Webull for a free stock. Guess it’s worth a shot. Hmm.

I think so, I went ahead and sent the money. Makes me feel stupid for not doing it in November when it wasn’t specifically “no minimum”

Webull’s watchlist and stock quote data via the app is top notch. I can’t comment on Webull as a trading platform as I only have the free stocks they gave me. Totally worth letting those freebies sit in an open account for the watchlist and bells and whistles.

I received the email, but the offer banner says I have to deposit at least $100 to qualify. (Where’s that scratching-head emoticon when you need it?)

The app has a plus sign for adding more bank account(s), but when you actually try to add a second bank account, it claims it only supports one ACH connection at a time, probably meaning their agreement with Plaid only allows one linked bank account at a time. A major pain in the neck.

I got targeted for a “3 free stocks when you deposit 500” or more from1/15-1/31

Check your accounts or app

Good find! I found this in the app by going to the Menu tab on the bottom right, then tapped “Get More Free Stocks!” under “Promotion Center”.
