Our Verdict

Dash buttons are normally $4.99 each, but have gone as low as free or $0.99 in the past so might be worth waiting. Just keep in mind that you have to use the device to order before you get the $4.99 credit, so it’ll end up costing you money. If you buy these things anyway on Amazon (Tide, etc.) it’s a good deal. This might be a work around for actually buying the product.

Newb question here…

While i follow the way it works, set up everything except the selection of the product, and press the button…something serms missing.

Wherre can that credit be checked to ensure the account has been credited. I made a purchase, yet no credit was available to apply.

This attempt was with Quaker Oats.
When I try, an email will show up saying I need to complete the set up.

Am I missing something, or is this loophole dead? I attach the dash button to my wifi, then exit out of the setup. Hit the dash button, which flashes red, and a notification says, “Your button is almost ready to use, complete setup to finish.” But when I add an item, no $4.99 credit is subtracted from the total. I’ve tried stuff sold/shipped by Amazon, as well as other Prime items. Nada.

Issue — as pointed out in Slickdeals — was that I was trying with a Glad button. Which is known to not work. Tried with Tide, and it worked!

It sounds like people are seeing the credits post in the no-rush shipping page, how fast do they post?

Where do you check for the status of the promo credit?

limit of 3? where does it say? Slick deals say– no limit on number of dash buttons you can order.

It seems Amazon has fixed the loophole. My 4.99 credit is now tied to the products with button’s brand and is applied like a coupon. I tried setup without adding a product to the button but it doesn’t work if the whole process is not completed.

Bummer

Sorry false alarm. The credit somehow just doesn’t work for any item that is already in my cart or saved for later, and doesn’t work for anything I have previously bought in the last 30? days. I added random prime items and it worked.

One catch with the Dash Button Promo credit is: only one 4.99 credit is applied at checkout. So I spent 3x$1.99 from my existing $10 Amazon courtesy credits on three buttons, but when checking out, I don’t get to stack more than one Dash Button Promo credit on top of the remaining courtesy credit. So it seems the three 4.99 Dash Button Promo credits must be spent on three separate transactions, rather than being stackable to reduce the taxable amount of one big purchase. Something to keep in mind.

Does the 4.99 credit have an expiration date?

Can each of the adult accounts on the same family Prime membership get this deal, or is it limited to the primary Prime account?

Hi All,

I am new to dash buttons. So, I can order as many dash buttons I want (each for $1.99) and get 3 times credit of $5.99 for each dash button by clicking the button three times ?

Thanks

You can order at most 3 dash buttons from an Amazon account. Each dash button gives you credit of $5.99 for a total credit of $17.97 over 3 buttons.
