Giftcardmall Reduces Maximum Denomination To $250

Giftcardmall used to allow you to purchase gift cards in denominations of $10-$500, the maximum is now $250. This is significant as you pay a flat $5.95 fee (previously ~1.2% of gift card value, now 2.4%). I know some people were doing significant volume through GCM due to portal’s paying ~1% on Visa gift card purchases. They also occasionally had sales on these gift cards as well.

Can you buy MO at post office with that VGC?

No. MB VGC’s do not work at the PO.

someone told me that if you choose the design your own card option, you can still get it for $500. I haven’t been able to try it out yet though because I’m not at a computer (can’t be ordered on a phone) but, it may be worth taking a look.

GCM used to be my go-to due to high portal payout. Since being banned from GCM, I’ve been using GC.com to make minimum spend, but always ended up paying about $15 or so per $1K in VGCs.

Any other suggestions as a better alternative to GCM/GC for MS? I don’t live near a Staples.

http://www.giftcardlab.com free shipping, $5.95 per $500 card, seems to be a sister site of gift card mall

When does the $250 limit occur? I went through the motions of ordering 2 $500 cards an hour ago and the checkout process didn’t object; I emptied my cart without completing checkout since I didn’t really want to buy today.

Interestingly the visa gift card type that I always get “Silver Visa Gift Card” was also pulled from the site.

Someone else reported ordering on 27th $500 VGCs and getting 2% tracked next day.

Could this be another fake news?:)

There are reports on FT that if you use the “Custom” visa gift cards it still tracks at 2%.

I used custom VGC and got only 1% from TCB.

Not necessarily true. Although I have tracking issues for orders placec 2 weeks ago, i bought a few $500 gc last night. Order not only went through but got an email from tcb this morning alerting me to the purchase and that it tracked are 2 %.

Well yes, like I said, “most” orders. It appears the issue has been fixed within the past few days, but there was a good ~2 week period where almost nothing was tracking for anyone. And I don’t think anyone has been able to successfully sort it out yet, going to take a while to file claims and wait for the “investigation”, etc etc… such a hassle.

What kind of VGC did you order?

Also, most of the orders from the past few weeks haven’t been tracking… had to file 2 missing cashback claims, still waiting on a response…. wonderful site.

Just go to TCB and click Help and follow the links to file a missing claim, it’s very straightforward.

Low cb portal payout on vgc already rendered them dead to me, but I understand some people’s need for them due to location hindrances.

GCM was always fubar. Random bans, inability to place orders because website wouldn’t work, horrific customer service etc.

At $250 max, their volume will collapse. Eff em.

“FUBAR” !! (had to look that one up — and oh yes, so spot on…. and applicable to GCM. The spouse here last Christmas did manage to buy a vgc through them…. but then once she tried shopping through Simon Mall (and then Kroger) — gcm handles/screws up both of them, never again….

GCM is AWFUL. Disconcerting thing is, we’ve never, ever had a problem doing significant business via giftcards.com. (owned by the same company) Would even tell that to “senior” GCM supervisors — and their bizarre attitude would be that something was wrong with giftcards.com, not with FUBAR gcm…. infuriating.
