It’s now possible to pre-order the Google Pixel 4a at a number of retailers. I know this will be a popular phone so I’ve created this dedicated page for pre-order deals (links below contain our affiliate link).
- Amazon: $349 (reduce price further by stacking deals)
- Best Buy: $349 (or $299 with activate today. $249 on Sprint with new line)
- Google Store: $349. Two free day shipping with promo code GOOGLESTORE2DAY. Some Google One members get 10% back on Google Store purchases in the form of Google Store credit.
I’m surprised we aren’t seeing any deals with an additional gift card like we did with the 3a, although the base price at $349 would make this difficult to do I imagine. Might be worth holding off on pre-ordering in case we see any better deals.
Not available on Amazon
Are there any older models, regardless of brand, out there at this same price point that would be a better buy than this new 4a?
THat is the sweetest price. I have a 2xl and i love it.Still smoothe like butter. Tempted to “upgrade”. Need to see that oled in person.
Have the same phone, but digging into it doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade. 3rd gen gorilla glass on the 4a vs 5th gen on 2XL, snapdragon 730 is on par with old 835. It’s more RAM + storage, but everything else seems the same or a downgrade
I got Pixel 3 XL from Best Buy for $399 last August. With Pixel 4a’s launch, they’re unlikely to run a similar promotion for Pixel 4 XL anytime soon, but watch out for it.
the last good google phones were the nexus lineup. It was so cool at the time. Pixels ain’t it.
Tempted to try flipping this but not sure how well it will work out.
How would it possibly work? This is the base price, it isn’t discounted.
If demand is greater than supply the price might be higher a few days after release.
That would be highly, highly speculative. I don’t think there’s going to be both a massive ability to fill preorders promptly but then a sudden drying of the supply chain, especially when all signs indicate this phone was ready to launch months ago.
I loved pixel 3 until the entire screen started flashing neon green, I wonder how long I should wait for reviews after release…
Interesting. My Pixel3 is still doing just fine, but what I love about it is that I got the phone and ~2.5 yrs of free Fi for about $200. That was an epic deal. Next month will be my first month of Fi as a paying customer, sigh.
You lucky duck!
I think we may need to wait a few weeks or a month before we can start seeing deals. Did Google or other merchants offer gift cards as soon as the Pixel 3a came out or during pre-order? I cannot remember
i wish google would step up and make cooler phones that are unique and offer features no other does. They just are lacking…and its disappointing for such a rich company.
The camera software is crazy good. Google’s hardware is meh but their software is great. They’ve only made phones for a couple of years so don’t expect them to come out with any revolutionary hardware I guess.
Unique? Sounds like the kinda thing that won’t sell much. They’ve already not sold a lot of phones. They need something that appeals to the masses
Ah got the Google Pixel3a new recently for $378 as my old phone broke. Wondering if I should return it (+case and screen protector) and get this instead.
Yes. You should. It’s basically a trade in at this point. Gotta hold off for a few weeks though. Hope you got a POS backup to tide you over. I’d trade my 3a in for a 4a if I incurred only a minimal loss
Wow I pay less than $200 when it launch in 2019 . (after GC and purchase a $30 iPhone 6 to trade in)
It is definitely mind blowing to see someone buy 1 years old phone at full price.
If you can I probably would
I personally want to get the OnePlus. I wish they didn’t increase the cost to get the silly certifications. The dual sim cards make it perfect for international travel.
