No dice for me, HEB management specifically forbids buying 2 VV GCs in the same transaction for some reason. On the bright side, the clipped coupon did show up in the app finally, which will make checkout issues smoother. They’d be on my account but invisible on the app the past few times.

I’ve been successful in buying two VV GC’s in the same transaction, but you are limited to spending $1000 between the two, including the card fee of $5.95. So for example if you wanted to buy two gift cards at $499 each, even though those two cards are under $1000 equalling $998, it wouldn’t go through because they are including the $5.95 gift card fee as part of the $1000 limit. So in order to be able to do this, your two gift cards would need to be $494 or less to be able for the transaction to go through. It’s beyond the control of the cashier, it’s automatic. I figured this out when I was buying them and was trying to figure out why I couldn’t buy the gift cards for the max amount of $500 and figured out this was why. I hope this helps.

Lol, too true. It’s actually showing in the app this time for me. Will go for 500+500+200HEB. Anyone know the max you can put on HEB gc? Gotta split tender over 1k though 🙁

its system will reject a trxn >$1k; while back when its vgc’s fee was $4.95, bought 2 variable with the 2nd card value was for only $490

Oh, that’s the limit on VGC, 1k total? That’s annoying that it includes the fees… Yeah, tried to do 2x $500 VGC before and it hard code rejected the second one. No issue doing 1x VGC and 2x GOC @$500ea though…. That’s really annoying that they include the fee in the limit. Good to know though 🙂

Another Jeff Try at the business center. They usually have higher limits than the register. Though I don’t see why you’d get a $200 HEB GC vs just a $10.

I use the HEB to pay for groceries so I don’t have multiple swipes back to back. Dunno if it keeps amex away or not. Also helps with big spend for Wells Fargo and BBVA, do it all in one swipe(have to with Wells Fargo 10% on 400)
