The Fine Print
- Valid from March 13th until March 26th
Our Verdict
Harris Teeter introduced fuel points in October of last year. 1,000 points = $1 off per gallon up to 35 gallons. Fuel points expire at the end of the following month (e.g points ended during this promotion will be valid until April 30th, 2019). Points can be used at BP or Amoco as well. Harris Teeter’s parent company is Kroger fingers crossed we see similar deals there.
Hat tip to reader Briar
Fuel gift cards are also excluded. I bought four $50 BP cards this morning and got only 400 fuel points. Read the exclusions list and saw fuel.
There are 2 separate evic coupons that can be loaded with 4X fuel points, one for standard gift cards and another for Visa and Mastercards …..(When you buy a $25, $50, or $100 Mastercard® or Visa® gift card. *Excludes Variable Load Gift Cards.)
how long do the Ht gas points last after you earn them ?
Works just like Kroger. Points are good from time earned til end of following month, but they don’t accumulate, e.g., March earned points can’t be added to February. Read the details on the website for clarity
Does anyone know of a good way to spend these besides fuel? I’m a pedestrian, but do virtually all of my groceries @ HT.
I’ve tried getting fuel points on vgcs previously without any posting. Will give it a whirl tomorrow and see if it adds any
Vgcs are excluded.
VGCs are not excluded, just did it a few weeks ago. The highest they carry at the stores in my area are $100 fixed, with $5.95 fee, both Visa and Mastercard, no variables.
I’m in Charlotte, HT headquarters. We have the $20-500 Visa and MCs in local stores but they haven’t earned fuel points in my experience.
Right, the variables do not but fixed do
Is that a general rule for all of these promos (that the fixed value cards count but the variable-load do not?)
Yes, that is the case with Kroger. HT fuel point program is still new but no reason to think it will be any different as Kroger owns them.
Ok thanks. What is the max fixed value amount they sell? $100?
Gotta load it to your card first
