The Offer
- Hilton is offering 2,500 bonus points per stay from January 1 – May 1, 2022
Our Verdict
Should stack with any other Hilton promotions that come along as well, none that stack currently.
I can’t get this to work. I can login to HHonors just fine, but when I click the promo link, it asks be to sign in again, to the capcha, THEN asks for a verification code sent to my email and the email never arrives. Anyone else?
same problem here
2500 points of their currency is skimpy enough (especially considering the breakfast downgrade) ….but per stay? They couldn’t even make it per night? Even if you average value at $0.004/pt it’s only $10.
With stays averaging what ? $150 at a mid hotel, that’s not much of a promotion even if it were on a per night basis. If your stay is 3 nights it is diluted to $3,33/night. Wow!
Much prefer the current Triple points promo.
Earned 18.8K HH points on a one night Plat FH&R $200 redemption also earned 1K MR.
Stay was $7.64 out of pocket after $200 Amex Plat credit. Included free Downtown parking ($33 credit) , $100 in amenities credit and stacked with $24 F&B credit (Diamond) and $60 in free breakfast and 4Pm checkout and room upgrade.
18.8k vs 2.5k HH
One if few time the Diamond F&B credit was better than free breakfast.
That’s amazing. Which property was this? Always looking for low rate FHR hotels..
does FHR stack with hilton status?
Yes if you book with your Hilton honors number linked you’ll get the $50 for food from Hilton, the free breakfast from FHR and then the FHR credit. Great for Vegas!
Yes if you add your HHONORS # when. You prepay
@alan
Duniway – but they have since switch to min of three night booking on Amex website.
They only show availability for minimum of a three night stay.
So I guess that is how the hotels are hacking Amex one night min for the Amenity credit.
Was hoping for a 3X or 2X promo as I have an eight night stay at the WA Maldives this promotional period 🙁
Maldives also increased Airport departure tax up to $240pp as of 1.1.2022
I guess they are trying to compete with LHR.
Might as well sign up. But I’m staying a lot less with Hilton these days. Awards now average about 2x what they cost last year. This is the problem with loyalty programs not having award charts. IHG has very comparable properties (especially below the resort level) and award nights usually cost about half as much these days.
Except with iHG it’s seems that it’s often impossible to find award space ( my experience pre-COVID). haven’t checked much during COVID.
Everything is different since COVID…
…….. concur, everything is different since you’re ancient memory. IHG (in my experiences) has been doing quite well over the past year+…. seems to be a company wide emphasis on finding ways to keep standards and service up as much as possible — and NOT use covid and/or “staffing crisis” (e.g., corporate profits) as excuse to offer garbage cold breakfasts (if that)…. I’m growling at you Marriott…. (I’m so sick of “chef pierre” packaged whatever….)
Oh, and yes, award/point night space at IHG properties dramatically easier (AND cheaper) of late….
That’s good to know. I was spire for several years than felt little tired with the HI/HIE’s…decided to move to Hilton a couple of years ago; I’m diamond and like their properties (Hampton Inns that I have stayed are nicer than the HI’s that I used to stay…). Hilton offers 5th night free (awards night); IHG offers the 4th night free but you need to pay $90 for the CC…will think about what I’ll do for 2022
