Hilton Timeshare Offer – Get 3 Nights + 50k Points For $199

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Hilton Grand Vacations (Hilton’s timeshare brand) is offering discount rates and points.  As part of this deal you need to complete a two hour timeshare presentation and pitch. Deals are as follows (all included 50,000 Hilton points):
    • 3 night stay for $199 plus tax in Orlando
    • 3 night stay for $199 plus tax in Las Vegas
    • 3 night stay for $199 plus tax in Myrtle Beach
    • 3 night stay for $249 plus tax in Scottsdale
    • 3 night stay for $249 plus tax in Virginia Beach

Our Verdict

You can usually get a better deal than initially offered by calling in. best tactic seems to call in asking for more information and then saying your partner isn’t 100% convinced yet, I wouldn’t even accept their first counter offer). You can see what sort of additional offers people have gotten in the past by clicking hereSometimes they offer 4 nights and 100,000 points for $349Other times we see deals for NYC/Hawaii.

Nobody goes into these presentations wanting to buy a timeshare, so make sure you have a plan and stick to that plan (and also educate yourself regarding common selling tactics).  If you are easily convinced I’d honestly recommend just not doing these types of deals.

I stripped off the end of the URL. They usually want your invitation ID from the email when you call.

No other locations were listed, but I am sure if someone has a hankering for other timeshare hotspots it can be negotiated. Also, LOL at their valuation when a $200 room costs 40k HH points.  William Charles

I have often found that you can rent these timeshares for the same or even less money than the annual maintenance fees the owners pay. Many, many people trapped in these horrific contracts often sub-let their week(s) trying to at least recoup part of the annual outlay for the maintenance/taxes/fees. I check ebay and facebook groups often for nice deals on timeshare rentals. Several years ago I stayed in a “4 bedroom presidential suite” in Destin during Easter week for a tad over $100/nt. I bought it on eBay. There was only one of these 4 bedroom units in the building and this was arguably the nicest unit in the entire complex. I have snagged beachfront units in the Keys, Daytona, Panama City Beach and Hollywood, Florida during the summer (2 or 3 times for the 4th of July weekend) never paying more than $120/nt and usually much less. Not all rental offerings are a good deal, in fact, many are extremely overpriced because the owners have gotten themselves into such horrible deals they can’t make their maintenance fees back or they are trying to make back some of what they originally paid too.

I just shake my head at all the suckers that actual buy these timeshares. There are many being offered for sale on ebay for free or $1 if you will just take over the ever-increasing annual fees — don’t be tempted because these are units that regularly rent for less than the annual fees. If you buy one, I might just be staying next door to you next summer at a very nice discount.

I got a call from a rep about this offer for Vegas. After some hesitation, she offered a $199 rebate after the stay, $200 Hilton credit for the future, waiving the resort fee, and 10,000 Hilton points. Valid till July 2023.

BE VERY CAREFUL!!! I was on the phone with Hilton booking a room with points in Orlando and they transferred me to these guys and he offered me Orlando stay for 3 nights and 4 days (which we were going anyway). I said okay (might as well save tons of points) can I check in Sunday night and dolikelyesentation and then spend 3 days in Orlando? Yes, he said. He confirmed over and over that there are presentations every day, all throughout the day even on the first day. I then said I needed X dates and is there availability in Orlando those dates? He said we have 3 hotels and each hotel has tons of space on the date you are going. He said don’t book right before your vacationbut I can wait abecauseeks for sure.

I called the NEXT day and she said there was ZERO availability in all 3 hotels in Orlando for that date, but I can pay a ton more money and stay in a nicer room which had availability. She also said he lied that I can do the presentation any day since they do NOT allow the first and last day likly because they assume people will want to do what I do which is check in and do it late at night. She also said there were only a few spots during the time we were there for presentation, not all throughout the day, every day. I was fuming. I said there is 0% chance every room in all 3 hotels sold out since last night. I was also pissed about his lie about presentation times. I demanded a refund becuase I said this is the only week we can go. She refused. I threatened to dispute with my credit card company and after tons of back and forth she spoke with her manager and agreed to let me stay in the room. But weeks later when I called they told me I have too many people staying in the room so no idea what I am going to do since flights are booked?!?!

if the trip is so important.. you should just book a hotel room.. of course they’re going to lie to you.. they are telemarketers.. it doesn’t make it right but that’s life.

my first job 20 years ago was in telemarketing and they specifically trained us to lie to people on the phone. it’s messed up lol

I’m not sure what that means that of course they lie. That’s fraud. It’s one thing to do a white lie like say oh our resorts are so beautiful when it’s a dump, because that’s subjective. But it’s fraud to say you have availability and I can do things a certain way when that was a straight up lie which is why I was going to dispute it.

That’s like saying a car dealership sold me a car for $5,000 and took my money but when I showed up they handed me a banana. And you would say, well they are car dealerships of course they lie, you should just use Uber every day and enjoy your banana!

“That’s like saying a car dealership sold me a car for $5,000 and took my money but when I showed up they handed me a banana.”

I gotta be honest… since you were talking about a car dealership – I’m a little disappointed you didn’t say “lemon” instead of “banana”.

But, I still wish you well with your dispute!

Prologer There is no way to just do these deals online. They have to read disclosures to you, and you have to confirm all kinds of information that they aren’t just going to email back and forth, or just have you fill out a form. It’s a process. You are entering a contract with them where both sides have obligations. If you fail, you likely do not get your money back.

If you want the best deal you have to play hard ball. It’s high pressure sales. I have done this offer once, about three years ago, and I would do it again. Without a doubt I did not get the best deal, but it was a good deal compared to what I would have normally spent on a vacay trip, with a mildly annoying waste of one late morning listening to their sales pitch. Says two hours, expect it to be three from the time you get there until they release you/agree to disagree that you aren’t taking the bait.

You can ask to go for additional day(s) as well. I know that was a must have for me… I wanted 5 days, not four. I made them get the reservations team on the line so I knew they had availability where I wanted to go, and when I wanted to go. I would not commit until they did that.

One bit of advice is don’t think you are going to sign up for this and go on vacation two weeks from now. The last time I called to see what they would offer, they said the EARLIEST I could book was a month out, and that it would not show in their system until then.

I have more comments about my experience on this post…
https://www.doctorofcredit.com/hilton-timeshare-offer-get-4-5-nights-in-nyc-or-hawaii-100k-points-for-749-999/

If anyone wants to do the offer, I suggest reading several other DoC posts on Timeshares and the comments. This is hardly the 1st time this has come up.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience!
Will try to call them then. I already attended Wyndham timeshare presentation but I was recruited right at the hotel during checkin so it was different process.

Awesome post. Thanks for all the detailed information. I never thought about making them get reservations on the line and checking availability.
