JFK-MAD 37,500 Avios + $ 85.34. Hmmm does that sound right?

I can’t seem to find any Business Class availability from LAX to Madrid, even on dates outside the promotion window… Am I missing something?

Yeah, I searched LAX, ORD, and BOS on multiple dates, did not find business class availability on any day for direct flights (checked 5-10 each).

Too bad. I took advantage of this a little over a year ago, it was well worth it.

I have literally checked every single day of the promo period from 09/14-12/13 and there is not one single outbound day from LAX.

Edit…actually i found one. it appears the website glitches out and starts showing 0 on some days when there might be something.

Yeah. Fair point. Just also means 30k UR now parked in united, which is not the worst place for it to be. Would only be able to change one one-way, it’s a multicity itinerary.

Me too. I need to start collecting Avios because I go to Spain often. Wish Iberia would restore the MAD-IAD service that they had a number of years ago.

Cannot even make an Iberia account…keep getting “oops…an error occurred.” All this proves is they hired an American who knows colloquialisms to do their web programming!

Iberia Business Class es muy bueno. MAD to ORD at 25K + $85 is a steal, the wife and I flew that for 34K BA Avios+ $235 in fees each last year and I thought that was a decent deal.

Why didnt you transfer your BA to IB to avoid the fees?

Negligence and laziness. I don’t even have an Iberia account.

Do the BA to Iberia transfers go through instantly? And does Iberia have the same off-peak structure as BA, i.e would that flight (MAD-ORD) still have been 34k Iberia Aviois? If it would have been should be kicking myself cuz that’s almost $150/ticket down the tubes.
