worst experience with HSBC business last time I tried to open an account with them. 100% not worth it

I agree that HSBC is generally a pain in the butt, and the business side of HSBC is particularly so. Thankfully they’ve created rules that mean I only have to interact with them once every few years. I guess I enjoy the thrill of the chase because I can’t just NOT go for it again once I’m eligible.

If I am a solo prop, can I open this biz checking with my SSN only?
Some bank allows this, but I am not sure about HSBC.
Thanks.

Yes, you can open with SSN as Sole Prop.

Hi.
Is it possible to open a business bank account without having a business?
Thanks

Maybe you should start a business providing such a service.

I’m also seeing several “targeted” offers on social media for consumer checking accounts

I was at HSBC on 1/13 to open a biz using share the experience offer. I saw the $200-400 offer for Fusion first, smart, and professional accounts, respectively. Unless they just changed it the $400 offer requires the Pro account

$300 Business Checking offer is still available through month end with referral – account can be opened over the phone and only requires $5K https://www.doctorofcredit.com/hsbc-300-business-checking-bonus-phone-or-in-branch-only/

$400 for depositing $75k and holding it there for 90 days? That’s not a bonus, that’s interest.

Maybe I’m mistaken but looks like only $5k needed for the fusion first account.

Fusion first only pays $200 bonus?

$400 bonus, but requires 75k deposited for 90 days?

Dunno if i am missing something but that seems like not a great deal. Better to deposit $25k for the $300 bonus, no? Or even just $5k for the 200 bonus.

Yes, I think Doc missed the point that it requires 75K to stay there for 90 days for the 400 bonus. The 5K requirement is only for the 200 bonus. Certainly not worth doing even if you had 75K…there are better bonuses out there for just 20K of the deposit. On the other hand 5K for 200 may be worth doing.

William Charles The $400 bonus requires $75K, $300 requires $25K, and $200 requires $5K. The $300 over the phone / in-branch with referral offer seems better?

William Charles This deal is back, slightly different requirements, now $400 bonus with 4/30/21 expiration date. Same link as before.
