Yesterday, Ed DeShields (President & CEO of CE analytics, the makers of the CE credit score) let us know that while their credit score is no longer available through the free credit monitoring website Quizzle (they have since upgraded and now use Vantage Score), it is available through a new site called iQualifer.
Ed made it seem like iQualifer would be a competitor to the bigger free credit monitoring sites such as Credit Karma, Credit Sesame & Quizzle but the free scores and reports are not available to all consumers. You have to had received a risk based pricing letter from one of the participating lenders to get access, otherwise you have to pay a $5.95 trial and then $24 per month.
We’ve tried to contact Ed to see if this means lenders are skirting their requirements to provide a free credit score as part of an adverse action notice, but he is yet to reply. Regardless of his reply this site isn’t worth bothering with, even if you do receive a promotional code. There are plenty of better ways to get a free credit score and all of which are more than likely to be closer to the score lenders look at than the CE credit score (which was 89 points different than our FICO score last time we checked).

Do you have any experience with iQualifer? If so, let us know in the comments. If not, why not read our full review of the new site?
