[RESOLVED] Issues Enrolling Multiple Chase Freedoms In 5% Categories (One Per Household?) – Developing

Update: Looks like everybody is able to successfully enroll their cards now. If it’s still not working for you, try using incognito mode to fix the issue. As mentioned below hopefully this was just a small technical glitch and nothing more.

Reader Jason let us know that they were having issues enrolling a second Chase Freedom card in the rotating 5% categories for this quarter. Reader anthonyjh21 had a similar issue that was slightly worse, they have four primary cards in their household (two for him and two for his wife). He enrolled his wives card first and then tried to enroll her second card and it didn’t work, when logging into his own account he could enroll neither card. the first card.

Another reader was able to successfully enroll four cards as a counter DP.

I suspect most readers will have already enrolled their cards for this quarters 5% categories, but if this is intentional then it’s a worrying sign for next quarters 5% categories. At this stage I wouldn’t panic, hopefully this is some sort of unintentional technical change on the back end and it will be fixed sooner rather than later. Earlier this year we did see a rumor appear that household points pooling would be ended, that wasn’t a rumor we received directly so I have no idea how reliable it is although I do trust Frequent Miler. Just recently Chase announced that super users took $330 million bite out of revenue.

My gut feel is that this is probably a temporary issue. Chase usually communications these types of changes ahead of time. It’s possible they are just getting things set up for Q4 and didn’t realize people would still be activating the offer. We’ve reached out to Chase for comment.
