There’s an offer showing in Kmart flyers:
- SYW members get a $10 Kmart Award card (similar to a gift card) + $2 in SYW points with the purchase of any Mastercard purchase of $100 or more

- Offer valid 11/6/-11/12
- Award card redeemable in-store or online
- Limit one $10 Award Card per transaction
Our Verdict
My understanding is that you simply buy $100 or more in Mastercard gift cards, and the system will automatically print out a $10 Award Card. And you should be able to do multiple transactions too; just split $100 per transaction.
In the past, Award Cards have functioned like ordinary gift cards without any sort of expiration; let’s hope this is the same.
Lots of Visa/MC gift card deals coming along. There are also offers for a $20 rebate at Staples this week and $10 off at Safeway/ACME/Shaw’s. Kmart also offers gas rewards, and the grocery stores might as well, but I’m not sure if gift cards qualify.
