This is once again why I love this blog, truth about things most of us experienced at least once in our lives we can relate too. When my kids were younger and I was struggling as well, free or heavily discounted items (candy, brand name stuff, soft drinks, meat,) was the only way I was able to purchase them.
Nowadays, I still catch myself getting all excited when I can get a great deal on something that I remember I would have never even thought I’d be able to purchase except for special occasions, I get strange looks from the kids sometimes, one day I’ll explain to them how tight things were for us while I tried to make thier lives as normal as possiable.
