Our Verdict
I wasn’t able to determine what the rate offered for the savings account is, but I suspect it’s close to 0%. That being said, this bonus is still worth doing if you live near a branch, if you don’t have $15,000 in cash laying around then you can always just focus on the checking bonus and leave the smaller savings bonus alone. We will be adding this to our list of the best checking account bonuses.

Instant approval applying online today (in Florida). The photo / selfie part worked flawlessly for me. CC funding was $500 max, I used FNBO Evergreen Biz and it’s showing pending already. Will be using real DD. My Chex inquiries are high, but score is well over 600 (someone indicated 580 was the cutoff).
were you targeted?
Nope. I did SM today to verify that the promo was attached correctly, which it was. Speaking of, FYI there is not a place to actually enter the promo code during the app, just make sure you click to apply from the promo page. I did see in my address bar at the end of the URL “Promocode=CON600” as I was applying so that made me feel better.
Is Venmo considered direct deposit?
Are people getting this bonus without being targeted?
Denied due to Chex. Adverse action report states minimum required score is 580. I’m close, so I’m hoping they’ll give it to me in a few months (current bonus drought leaves me with not many accounts to get)
Does anyone know if they enforce Household Limit? Opened mine under CON300 couple months ago but since this offer has another promo code, can one argue is a different offer for P2 to enter since terms say: Limit one CON600 offer per checking household
Oh good catch, I opened for both me and P2 in same HH but won’t have a data point for a while and certainly won’t call.
OOS possible?
Terms say you need to have a florida address to apply online. “At branch”, doesn’t indicate this.
Applied using same login from a year ago and I got a pending message. I never received an account approval email or anything and I just log in and the account is there with my opening deposit.
Has anyone opened their savings? They have 5.05% APY if you link checking account and do 4+ qualifying transactions but the terms are confusing regarding the money market account and having the bonus posted there:
Rate Disclosure: APY= Annual Percentage Yield. The base and bonus rate APY’s are accurate as of 6/1/24, and subject to change at any time; Base rates of 0.01% APY on balances of $0.1-49,999.99 and .03% on balances of 50,000-349,999.99 and .10% on balances of 350,000+; Bonus rate of 4.95% APY will be added to base rate with 4+ qualifying transactions in a linked checking account owned by the customer. Bonus rate will be paid in the money market account for the next statement cycle. To determine qualifying transactions, the checking transaction analysis cycle will begin 3 business days (excluding Saturday, Sunday, and Federal Holidays) prior to the Money Market statement end date.
Opened it, but still not sure what the “qualifying transactions” are. Can I just schedule a bunch of ACH transfers?
Does anyone know if you can just open a checking for the $400 bonus? When I click that link it takes me to the same page
That’s what I’m trying to do. To get past that, click the checking & savings combo and then delete the savings from the account list on the next page.
This is what I did
Validation is a pain. They require pic of front & back of DL and a selfie, then keep rejecting DL pic claiming “glare” on DL. Seems clear at my end. Third attempt now but if this fails, that’s strike three.
Yah, I found that using the front/selfie camera worked better for that.
Third time was the charm. Account is open and inital funding completed. Will work on “DD” next week.
