Update 2/22/21: Reader Jeff sent in an email he got with a $4 coupon; apparently there are two version of this coupon. Same expiration. I believe the $4 version works on $100s and maybe on variable-load cards as well.

Kroger brand stores are offering a $3 discount via digital coupon on the purchase of a $50 Visa or Mastercard gift card.

Valid on in-store purchases only from 2/17/2021 – 3/2/2021 .
Excludes Visa® & Mastercard® $25,$100, Variable Load and Multipack cards.
Limit one coupon per customer.

Our Verdict

I believe the $50 cards typically have a $4.95 fee, still ends up costing $1.95. Not the best deal, but still useful if you want to meet some grocery spend, e.g. for CSR PYB.
