Avoiding Fees
The basic checking account (called the ‘Access’ account) comes with a $10 monthly fee, waived with a $250 daily balance and waived for those under age 24 or over the age of 64 (also waived if you have a direct deposit of $250+).
There is an early account termination fee of $25 if closed within 180 days.
Our Verdict
This usually comes with a $300 bonus, there is a chance there is still a $300 bonus available but I haven’t been able to find the link (usually it follows the same format etc holiday300sm but that doesn’t work). Personally I’d wait for a $300 offer as you are limited to one per calendar year and this won’t post before the end of 2016. Because of that we haven’t added it to our best bonus page.
