Not as good as $5 off $5 that we had last year, but still a good offer. You can do a DD card reload and last year e-gift card purchases worked as well. [Update: E-gift cards are now processed by Cashstar and will not work to trigger the Amex Offer.]
Reselling Angle: You can profit around $3 per Amex card on this one by purchasing $10 cards and selling them for $8. Or, better yet, purchase one card and then reload that card online with all your other Amex cards at $10 each.
I think I’ll pass on this one since the profit is small per card, but the option exists.
