How is an “Egift card” used differently than the $100 gift card? ( I looked through the details and everywhere else that I could think of and I do not see it.)
it’s the exact same. the thing to keep in mind – lowes online orders are limited to 5 GC, so the smaller value GC are harder to use

i bought earlier and the pending charge shows as EGIFT CARD888 267 0447. i think should be good. will update once the charge is confirmed.
it did not track. it did say online purchase yes, but then the category was money orders, and tracked at 1% base no bonus (1.75 with premium rewards)

Look at the date of the post. Nearly 1 year ago. There was an lowes amex offer. Now is gone.
Didn’t someone post here that if you return anything purchased with a Lowe’s eGift card, you get a locked eGift card back? Locked being that the refunded eGift card can only be used by the person with the linked driver’s license.
yes, also known as store credit. So use GCs only when sure that you are not going to return.
when i do returns/cancellations i get a blue refund card – if i do in store they hand it to you if not they send it to you fedex NDA. i don’t see anywhere that this is tied to me, although normally i just use it since that’s why i’m buying the lowes GC to begin with. you may not be able to sell it on an exchange, but you should be able to give to anyone else to use and it should work fine.
Their system is now updated so that on a eGift purchase return, you will get a card which looks like old store credit but acts like a gift card, i.e. no ID required. I am assuming on a store credit purchase, the refund will still be tied to your ID.
Home Depot is still in the ice age regarding this matter. You have to argue with customer service to get a gift card back even on an online purchase. I mean how am I supposed to use store credit online.
