M Life Extending Status Through January 31st, 2022 & Earning Years Being Changed

M Life has sent out an e-mail to members letting them know that status earned in 2019 or 2020 has been extended through January 31st, 2022. In addition the earning year will now be a calendar year rather than October – September. Full e-mail as follows:

Extending Your Tier Status and Benefits

We are excited to announce that the M life Rewards Tier Status, whether NOIR, Platinum, Gold or Pearl, you earned in 2019 or in 2020, will be extended through January 31, 2022.

Earning Year Changes

With this extension, we are also changing our earning year to January 1 – December 31 from what’s historically been October 1 – September 30, extending your benefits an additional three months and moving to an easier to understand and track calendar earning year.

Despite the earning year change it looks like the M Life > Hyatt status match trick will still work as Hyatt has extended status through February 28th, 2022.

I don’t think so? Hyatt usually has your status go through end of February and if this starts on the beginning of the year, should have plenty of time to match around?

Crossing my fingers that Caesars follows. IMO their program is much more valuable since it includes waived resort fees.

Agreed. And the status merry-go-round isn’t going to last forever. Would be nice to lock in for 2021, ’twas already worried the ride would shut down by then.
