Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
This account has no monthly fees
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is any EATF or not.
Our Verdict
Seems worth doing, not sure how difficult it is to get approved for.

they called me last week about the bonus to ensure I understood the terms. They said besides the requirement to have a direct deposit totaling $2,500 within 90 days of account opening you need to maintain direct deposits (no minimum mentioned) for 90 days to get the bonus. Anyone else told this?
Have you set up DD yet? I have set up DD through work’s payroll into both accounts, and have not gotten any phone calls.
Yes, I had 2 or 3 direct deposits already. I’m hoping the lady didn’t know what she was talking about. I really don’t want to maintain direct deposits into both checking and savings for 3 months. She also said I needed to sign up for estatements which I already did but she indicated she didn’t have access to my accounts so couldn’t confirm. She was just making these calls about the bonus. Strange.
There was nothing in the terms of the revington offer I did about maintaining DD and I don’t see anything in the terms Will wrote up in this post about that either. I reached out about my bonus last week and was told it would post next month and there was no mention that I didn’t have DD set up anymore. Anyone have this offer saved for the $750?
From the PDF I got after account opening:
To Earn $750 Bonus:
Looks like the offer is gone; the link redirects to the bank’s interest rate page.
That is disappointing, just got the CCs lined up for funding, sigh …
Yep looks dead

Do they have early pay dd?
Yes
Looks like this offer is no longer available. The link redirects to a page showing their product rates. I had planned on doing this one, anyone know different than what I’m seeing?
Any DPs on what will post as DD aside from legit payroll? Wondering if I can push from my business bank account at chase, etc.
Be the DP you want to see!
Weirdly enough, they called me to check up on the promotion. That’s right, they reached out to me! (DoC has no rules against the bank calling you, right?)
I used Chase Biz DD to send out my “direct deposits.” The rep said that they do not count towards the direct deposit requirement. I’m not 100% keen to believe them here, though, for a few reasons:
Regardless, I’ll probably try Wise to see if that codes differently. If not, we’ll see.
On the call I just said, “thank you for letting me know” and left it at that, not to tip my hand too much.
I ignored the verification call, and the account was approved soon after.
Did get 2 Chex pulls. One on the day the online application was submitted, one a day later when the ID verification call happened. Issued a dispute at Chex to remove the second one… (this worked for me for other banks with Chex in the past).
Second Chex pull was removed after filing dispute with Chex.
What did you write for the dispute reason?
That I got pulled twice for opening the same account (first when submitting the online application, second when I got verification call the next day). So far I have succeeded always when this happened also with other banks. Chex removed one of the two inquiries from the “everybody can see it” and put it to the “only you can see it”.
I applied for BFB online several months ago and got rejected. I then applied in-branch the same day and got approved but got a 2nd Chex inquiry.
I was told by a Chex supervisor that disputing 1 of those inquiries would not be a valid dispute. However, a man from BFB left me a VM telling me to apply in-branch. Do you think that I should try to get the 1st inquiry removed? If so, what would you write to them if you were me?
Just this: that I got pulled twice for opening the same account (first when submitting the online application, second when I got verification call the next day), and asked to remove the second one. I always did it through the online portal by submitting a dispute. Super easy, takes 1 min.
It seems that you misunderstood my comment. I applied online and in-branch the same day and received 2 separate Chex inquiries. Therefore, writing what you told me would be completely inaccurate.
I’m sure you are able to interpret my comment in the context you of your particular situation.
Can you file dispute with Chex online? I clicked thru the Dispute, got a popup “We are unable to process your Dispute. Please contact ChexSystems at 800.428.9623 for assistance with this request.” Wondering what I did wrong…
I can dispute it online. Not sure what the issues is, but I have heard previously that some people have problems with the Chex online portal.
For me,
it put only one inquiry view by others as “Public record information on file at Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions was utilized for this inquiry. Should you wish to request your file disclosure from Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions you may contact them” – this was the day they did ID verification question over the phone.
And one more inquiry that is viewable only by me (the day i submitted online earlier) – may be soft inquiry !
OOS application?
OOS application?

I tried again, this time with a different browser (firefox), and this time I didn’t alter any of the autofilled info from the ID scan step. Got past where I was stopped last time, application now in review, so we’ll see what happens
Got a follow up call today for ID verification (KBA questions) and the rep said the account was approved. Rep also confirmed it is $2,500 total between the savings and checking account, not $2,500 into each account for the direct deposit requirement.
Hat tip to
