In late January the CDC announced that passengers entering the US would require a Negative COVID-19 Test Within 3 Days Of Departure. As a result Hyatt announced free COVID-19 testing at all Latin America resorts. Marriott has now announced that it will offer free COVID testing at select Mexico and the Caribbean resorts.

Does that mean if you test positive they let you stay? Always wondered if they’d Boot you out…
Make sure you book a nice room, you’ll be locked in for a week or two.
They let you stay, but you pay. They probably have room anyway, as they aren’t full.
I wonder if the next door Marriott resorts in Aruba (Surf Club and Ocean Club) are included. Seems weird to include Stellaris but exclude the equally expensive (and literally next door) Surf and Ocean Clubs.
For those intrepid souls willing to still travel, it’s becoming an extra $150-500 “convenience fee” for the new Covid-theater much like the post-9/11-TSA-surcharge-and-3oz-toiletries debacle.
British Airways fuel surcharges! Living under medical tyranny now.
Great news, have a stay in May at Solaz @ Los Cabos for 5 days. Just wondering if we can choose when to test during the stay
You need a negative test of 3 days or less to return to the US
Does the CDC requires PCR tests? Tried to find the info but unclear?
so in theory.. say for example, you could spend 1 month traveling around Mexico and then spend your last night at a Marriott or Hyatt hotel and get the COVID test for free?
I was at Hyatt Zilara Cancun last week and there was a minimum of 3 day stay requirement for a free antigen test, otherwise it was 35$.
$35 isn’t bad.. FLL charged $75, JFK $200!
also it needs to be a resort so not a random cheap Hyatt place or residence inn
