Master List Of Free Entertainment, Education & Art Resources For Those Self Isolating

Currently a lot of people are self isolating or spending large amounts of time at home due to COVID-19. I suspect we will see a lot of services offering extended free trials and other freebies and my aim is to keep this page updated with those. One resource that isn’t listed below is your local library, a lot of these give free access online to things like movies, books & magazines. Please contribute additional resources in the comments below.

Has ABC Mouse stopped their free membership? It’s prompting my kids to login (and I forgot what password I used!).

Watch a new video every Friday on Facebook or YouTube.

Created by the Storm Trysail Foundation, the Offshore Safety-At-Sea Video Series serves as a resource for all sailors. Normally, reserved for our seminar participants only, the Storm Trysail Club is releasing a video each week for sailors to enjoy and learn while they are self-quarantining.

New video premieres every Friday at 9am EDT. The first Man Overboard Recovery has already reached over 5,000 views on Facebook.

Other videos to come:
– Understanding Weather
– Using Safety Equipment
– Shipboard Firefighting Strategies
– Emergency Steering
– And more…

New York Philharmonic is also offering free access to its digital content:

https://nyphil.org/playson

This may be standard of them and not a specialty thing, but if you’re a film aficionado, the Criterion Collection is offering a free 2-week trial (does require credit card information and to cancel before being billed):

You’ve posted about it before, but the monthly free FandangoNow movie for Sprint customers might be a good addition to the list.
