Our Verdict

You can view eligible events/places here. Can’t imagine many people are traveling to NYC at the moment, but should be a useful deal for locals.

I booked the Cambria on W. 46th St. It was a hair over $100 with tax, so good discount for one night. It really doesn’t make sense unless you can book nights separately getting the $25 off $100 each time. By the way, great hotel.

Local NYer here, I went through the list of MC offers, there are a few restaurants with nice rooftops but beyond that nothing so interesting. $10 off $20 might be good for a drink/appetizer in a decent environment. The hotel deals look OK if you can stack with other offers, $25 off $100 isn’t bad.

People can buy four $100 Marriott gift cards for $75, but now there’s a better Amex Offer out there.

Some people don’t have AmEx and can’t take advantage. Are you certain the Marriott gift card will trigger the credit?

What a freebie! I mean sure it’s hyper localized… But we did bear the biggest burden. They must be trying to match the Amex offer, but on the cheap so they don’t have to spend so much. I double dog dare Visa to try to beat them
