I’m a ED doc. Appreciate Mcdonalds for doing this but they need to focus on taking care of their own staff by giving them all good benefits and good sick leaves.

As a health care worker myself, mark me in the column of grateful for the gesture that McDonald’s is offering.

Front line health care worker here. I will have no issue holding me back from picking up McD’s for breakfast each morning.

I’m a healthcare worker and we should not support McDonalds.

But if I am understanding this deal right, you would *not* be supporting McDonalds. You would not be giving them a penny. They would be supporting you.

Now of course you may not want their support for any number of reasons: you are a vegan, you like eating healthy stuff, etc. And that’s fine.

This is nice. But my SO is a health care worker and she hates stuff like this. She would never never flash a badge to get a freebie. It’s just like Veterans Day — my father is a veteran, and he would be super embarrassed to use that status to get a free Grand Slam. So, all in all, a nice idea. But I question the execution. I think my SO would do it if no one *knew* she had done it, LOL

Tell her to get past her embarrassment and do it if she’s interested in the freebie. Simple as that. No one is forcing her to get this. I, like her am a health care worker and part of the “essential” work force. I’ve been in contact with COVID positive patients. Stress levels are high. If I’m tired or lazy and want to grab a quick bite at McDonalds and they want to offer it to me for free, why not? I can afford McDonalds, but I work hard and this site and others like it are all about good deals. Nothing beats FREE. Tell her to get over her insecurity.
